Unhappy About The Baby

September 30, 2015 Blind Gossip

baby sad 3SOLVED!

[Blind Gossip] This pretty actress had a baby in the past year or so. Yes, she actually gave birth to the baby herself. No surrogates involved.

She has mentioned in several upbeat interviews about how happy she is, how much joy the baby’s birth has brought her, etc. However, we learned that in private she has actually been anything but since the child’s birth.

It’s been months of crankiness and crying. I’m talking about her, not the baby. One of the issues she has is with what the birth did to her body. Hellooo? You just had a baby! Another is that she is having a lot of trouble sleeping. Another is that [her partner] just isn’t pitching in as much as she had hoped.

Baby blues? Postpartum depression? We don’t know. However, we are assured that she has people around her who are aware of what she’s going through and are doing their best to help out.

No, it’s not Hayden Panettiere (who did recently speak out about her own experience with postpartum depression).

Actress: It’s Drew Barrymore!

Drew Barrymore just confessed that she suffered from postpartum depression following the birth of her second child last year. Here is an excerpt from the article in People:

Drew Barrymore Experienced Postpartum Depression After Daughter Frankie’s Birth: ‘I Really Got Under the Cloud’

After Barrymore gave birth to Frankie, she sensed something might be a little off. “I didn’t have postpartum the first time so I didn’t understand it because I was like, ‘I feel great!’ The second time, I was like, ‘Oh, whoa, I see what people talk about now. I understand,’ ” she says. “It’s a different type of overwhelming with the second. I really got under the cloud.”

Barrymore, 40, felt pulled in every direction.

“Life is messy,” the actress says. “It was just really challenging and I felt overwhelmed. I made a lot of decisions and I definitely changed my work life to suit my parenthood.”

While her postpartum was “short-lived, probably six months,” Barrymore is grateful for the experience, which constantly reminds her to stay present in the moment.

We’ve included a photo of Drew and her two kids (Olive and Frankie) below. They look so much like Drew when she was a child!

None of you guessed this one correctly. However, we were REALLY impressed by the advice that so many of our readers offered to new moms! It’s nice to see everyone being so supportive of each other. You’re good people. You know that?
