[Blind Gossip] Why would a notable high-end property with multiple residences have absolutely no security cameras? It didn’t make any sense to us… until someone close to the situation clued us in!

The residents all have multiple homes. They are incredibly wealthy and slightly paranoid. They tend to use this property for the most private of “activities” that they don’t want anyone to see. Their visitors may include people to whom they are not married, escorts, drug dealers, politicians, celebrities, same-sex partners, etc.

There are no security cameras for any of the common areas because the residents don’t want them! Video can be subpoenaed. Video can be used for blackmail.

Thus, the ultimate security… is to have no security cameras at all!

Let’s talk about the robbery of Kim Kardashian at an exclusive hotel in Paris.

Police sources just confirmed what Blind Gossip told you in the original blind item: The lack of security cameras in the Paris hotel was DELIBERATE and set up that way so that guests could privately entertain “sensitive” visitors!

According to police sources, the hotel management had deliberately chosen not to install CCTV so that their wealthy and powerful clients would not be filmed entering with, for example, prostitutes or sensitive business associates.

It also made robbing one of its guests incredibly easy. From The Daily Mail:

The Hôtel de Pourtalès, so exclusive it is known as No Address France, is located in Paris’ 8th district. It contains 11 luxury apartments, which are rented out for between [$900-18,000 USD] per night.

Singer-songwriter Robin Thicke was staying in the hotel at the time of the robbery, but happened to be out when the crime took place. When he returned, he was kept waiting in the courtyard while the police conducted their investigations.

Jennifer Lawrence had been staying there just two days before the heist.

That is probably the only thing that Jennifer Lawrence and Kim Kardashian have in common. Well, besides this purple and orange outfit.

The establishment is known to be the height of discretion, with no sign outside and a super-rich clientele including Manchester United football star Zlatan Ibrahimovic, Leonardo DiCaprio and Madonna.

After its last renovation in 2010, the late pop star Prince is said to have reserved the entire building for a party.

The concierge at the time of the robbery had complained numerous times to management about the lack of security.

The 39-year-old security guard, who is working towards a doctorate at the Sorbonne university in Paris, was the only guard on duty when reality star Kim was bound, gagged and robbed at about 2.30am on October 3.

The traumatised father-of-one, named only as Abdulrahman because of fears for his safety, said he had warned Hôtel de Pourtalès that guests were vulnerable years before the attack – and even claimed that security was so lax that “someone might die.”

He claims that there had been no functioning security cameras at the hotel for at least six years, that the security codes had not been changed since 2010, and that there was regularly just a single guard on duty.

Really? That doesn’t sound very safe for a property frequented by high-profile guests.

yale-door-lockIn a further stunning disclosure, he said that Kim’s apartment was accessed simply by a wooden door with a single Yale-type lock, with no bolt to guard against intruders. He is now planning legal action against the hotel.

“I told the hotel years ago, you need better security and they didn’t care,” Abdulrahman said. “If you look at that big door, it wasn’t locked, it was open. We talked about it and nobody cared. The code of the door was never changed and everybody knew it.”

‘There is a camera in the main wall of the hotel, behind the big red [front] doors, but it didn’t work for years.’

The apartment block is arguably the most prestigious in Paris, and is branded “No Address” because the celebrities who stay there expect utmost discretion.

“It was No Address, no security,” Abdulrahman said. “Nothing was locked, there was no proper security there.”

So, we have a an unlocked door… an entrance code that was widely shared for years… a single guard on duty… one non-working security camera… no CCTV throughout the property… a common Yale-type door lock on the apartment door… millions of dollars of jewelry that were widely-publicized… and no bodyguards.

No Address. No security. No surprise that someone was robbed!

    Hm, Ibra uses it too. Interesting. I always wondered what Zlatan’s REAL ‘deal’ was. According to former teammates and other close sources, he’s supposedly one of the only football players they know that never cheats on his wife–well, with other women, anyway (Mr. Pique comes to mind..). I’m curious what he uses the hotel for….

    Wondering if this is where yachting type activities occur when they can’t actually yacht. Middle Eastern royals have tons of properties and holdings all throughout Europe so it would be easy to claim business and go to Paris. Same with the other men who like escorts but would lose a ton if caught. Then again the Diplomatic Immunity claims from the Saudi royals demonstrates that there is no shame in behaving poorly and making it public

    My guess for this is that Chateau Marmont in Los Angeles. Looks ‘exclusive’ but there’s always been stories it’s been used for celeb drugs and sex.

    I’ve always pegged it for a dive tbh.

    I don’t think this is right but I’ll say it anyway…the hotel in Paris where Kim K. stayed and was robbed. That place has no security at all and according to People magazine, being robbed at gunpoint has always been her biggest fear. So it makes no sense that she would stay in a hotel with no security if she always feared an armed robbery would occur.

    But I don’t think that is the correct answer…lol. Its all I can come up with.

      You are exactly right. This would explain why she was left alone: no security detail, no friends accompanying her, no family there, Kanye performing in another city that night. It explains why she chose that place of all places to be. Now we know what her REAL profession is. And her John for the night decided to rob her.
      Kanye is fully aware she’s a prostitute. He engraved ‘Adidas’ on her ring that was stolen. It means All Day I Dream About Sex, not just the contract he signed with them.

    So is this why Kanye likes the place, so he can “entertain” Ricardo while in Paris? Kim was also “entertaining” gentlemen and that’s why she was alone that night….

    As far as other celebrities, I read Leo, Usher and Madonna have all stayed there.

    Optional: Nah. I’m pretty boring. Plus, I’d like to think I’d be one of those celebrities that keeps a low profile.

    Kanye probably uses it to meet Riccardo. Kim used it to stage her “robbery”. Prince was just a private person, and probably preferred no cameras, plus he may have used drugs or had dalliances there. Madonna and DiCaprio probably entertained “guests” there…perhaps same sex guests.

    Yes, if I were a celebrity I would welcome a chance for total privacy.

      Staying in Paris at a hotel with no security cameras and little to no security sounds like a nightmare to me after all the terror attacks there. It still astounds me that a couple of armed terrorists were able to enter a business in the heart of Paris and slowly execute employees one by one. A robbery would be the least of my worries.

      I’m no security expert but I’ve worked places where – to deal with this problem – the cameras record over the footage after 48 hours. I think a lot of places do this? Then at least if you need the footage you have it. If you don’t it goes away

      Totally the no address hotel. They said that they don’t have internal cameras as their clientele do not want to be filmed under any circumstances
