If he doesn’t like a question or doesn’t know exactly how to answer it, he looks at them and then the interview is paused so his handlers can reject the question or feed him the “right” answer.
Why are they doing this? Well, they are still pushing that “I’m a good person now” image that they think will transition him from child star to adult star. However, it’s still totally fake, so he still needs to be coached and tightly monitored so he doesn’t slip and go off-message.
Why would he go off-message if they have thoroughly coached him? Well, our singer has been known for doing stupid things while under the influence in the past. Things haven’t changed much. They can’t control what he drinks/smokes/pops/whatever, and they can’t control when he does it, so now they can only attempt to control what happens afterward.
