[Pop Bitch] Which UKIP-supporting celeb once refused the limo sent to take her to an event because the driver was “the wrong colour”?
BG Note: The UK Independence Party (UKIP) is a Eurosceptic and right-wing populist political party.

Joan Collins is not a racist. She dated Harry Belafonte a long time ago, and she’s good friends with Diahann Carroll and Shirley Bassey. In spite of being black herself, this could actually be Shirley Bassey. She has some pretty right-wing and xenophobic views, which is pretty pathetic considering her own race and background.
truebritt says
Morrissey – known as a UKIP supporter
truebritt says
Oops, just saw “her” in the clue — maybe Joan Collins, she’s been rumored to support them, too.
inmichigan says
Joan Collins?
Frankfurt7753 says
I don’t know who this actress is but please don’t make it out as if all people who support UKIP (like me) are racist, I just want my country to make their own laws, protect their own borders and vote for my their own politicians, not have some idiot in Brussels who I have never heard of or voted for, tell me what I can and can’t do because the UK is part of this EU dictatorship led by Angela Merkel and her gang. So what is the link between UKIP and the actress blind gossip, bit of a cheap…
wiccabasket says
You’re an exception to a pretty depressing rule. Every Ukipper I’ve met (and I’ve met more than I ever really wanted to) have been racist, even though they don’t think they are.
And you DO vote for people in Brussels. That’s how you lot managed to elect a Euro MP, remember?
Frankfurt7753 says
‘You lot’ what a nice person you sound like Whickerbasket and no I DO NOT VOTE for PEOPLE in Brussels, I voted for one MP and I DID NOT VOTE for Martin Schulz the head of the European Parliament, no idea who he is or where he comes from and calling every UKIP supporter ‘racist’ is typical of what some loonie like you with nothing else to throw down comes up with and I’m glad I’ve never met you.
Dancing with Mr D says
I am a total Anglophile and agree with you 1000%! Rule Britannia!
Kinda like the US being ruled by the UN…….oh, wait…….
alternageek says
as an immigrant, who used to live in the UK, i found UKIP scary and threatening. i felt unwanted and unneeded, despite the fact i wasnt allowed access to any benefits for a good part of my time there (almost ten years) i worked and didnt take any jobs that no other person didnt want to do (call centre/admin)
as someone who has been on the other side of ukip language and rhetoric, it feels very much like hatred and racism – whether you mean it to be or not.
Frankfurt7753 says
I know how you feel, I felt unwanted and unneeded too and in my own country, it is scary and threatening when you can’t find a job, or pay your rent, or put your child in the school you want because you can’t get them in, or wait weeks for a hospital appointment and then get called a ‘racist’ because you worry about your child’s future in a country that doesn’t even feel like your own anymore because it’s so crowded with people, but I’m not allowed to feel like that am I, only you are.
Rottweiler says
Kate Winslet??
barracobarner says
This is shocking. I don’t actually know any of any UKIP-supporting celebs in the UK (not public supporters, anyway!), so I’m interested to see what guesses other people post.
UKGoss says
Joan Collins – she’s the only UKIP-supporting female celebrity I can think of, and this sounds like something she would do.

Amy123 says
Considering the KKK were Democrats, the Democrats fought to keep slavery, and the Democrats have ended the time when most black fathers were in the home through welfare incentives, let’s keep things in perspective here. MLK was a Republican.
my2cents says
So who ended white fathers being in the home?, cause white families are on public assistance as well. Do your research, you might learn something more than you think you know
CyndiTx123 says
I agree My2cents !!
Jester says
Dr. Martin Luther King never publicly claimed to be affiliated with Republicans, nor Democrats. In fact, he supported John Kennedy and Lyndon Johnson, and was against Barry Goldwater. He could have been an Independent. He was a civil rights activist first, and foremost.
worldsoldestkitten says
Amy123, the two parties have flipped over time, with the Democrats now far more diverse and the GOP the party of old white men. MLK remained an Independent to his death, throwing his support to whoever could best help his people. It was the Republicans who insisted that a family with a male in the home wasn’t eligible for benefits. Fortunately, that’s no longer the case. Read your own history.
ladysussex says
“Party of old, white men”? Colin Powell, Ben Carson, Alan Keys, Herman Caine, Condaleeza Rice, et al….. among many black, Republican Congressman and Senators would strongly disagree with you!
LooLoo says
Abraham Lincoln was a Republican as well.

What does any of that have to do with this blind item?

Not Joan Collins. In her autobiography she mentions her affair with Harry Belafonte. She described his skin as beautiful. She really flipped for him.

No idea, but what is “Eurosceptic”?
Frankfurt7753 says
A ‘Eurosceptic’ (like me) is a British person who does not want to be ruled by Germany, or France or any other European country that tells the UK what criminals they can lock up, who they must accept into their country, basically everything they can and can’t do. It’s like America being ruled by Canada and I really really hope the UK leaves The European Dictatorship led by Angela Merkel – June 23rd and hopefully we will be free at last!
LooLoo says
Germany is a bigger economic market than the U.K., so that’s not really a good comparison. And, didn’t the U.K. just strike a deal to stay in the EU?
Frankfurt7753 says
Eh?? If Germany is a bigger economic market than the UK does that mean Germany owns the UK?? Your comment Loo Loo makes no sense and no the UK didn’t strike a deal to stay in the EU, there is a vote on June 23rd, you should read the news dear.
lagally says
Angela Merkel is a traitor to her own people
Tbilll says
Someone who wants the UK to leave the European Union.
valleygal says
Chezza Cole or whatever her name currently is? Known to err on the racist side…
Tbilll says
Seriously? She was married to a black man.
valleygal says
‘Married’. A fake, promo relationship. Charged for a racially-motivated attack in a nightclub quite a few years back…

Probably that stupid nobody Kelly Osbourne.
bubbasbbq says
I know know who this is, but if somebody is working hard to earn a living you damn well better respect them and their efforts. That goes double if they are working hard FOR YOU.
Everyone who works for me, or otherwise performs a service for me and does it well get a smile and a thank you if not a generous tip if appropriate.
Dezombie says
Joan Collins.
Dancing with Mr D says
I had to google this because I have no idea about European/UK politics, and all I could come up with was Joan Collins.
spookie says
I am having a really hard time thinking of any celebrity who has publicly endorsed UKIP.
