[Blind Gossip] This character actor is a little scary to look at. He looks like a biker who has been in one too many fistfights and has done one too many stints in prison over the years.

Here’s a cute little fact about him that totally belies the characters he plays.

Guess who is extremely polite and jaw-droppingly studied about fine wine? [Actor]! He was at our restaurant for dinner. He was talking with the sommelier about the boutique selections on the list. They got into a lengthy discussion about left versus right Bordeauxs. The sommelier later told us how impressive his knowledge of fine wine was and that he has impeccable taste! Good tipper, too.

Yes, your favorite rough and tumble villain is a true gentleman and an oenophile, more likely to use a machete to open a champagne bottle than to slice you to ribbons!

    Danny Trejo. Played “Machete” in the Film “Machete”. He’s also done real prison time and played plenty of criminals in film & TV. He seems to be a real wine & food buff with his own series of restaurants & cafes to boot.

    A friend of mine was on set with him a few years ago while her child was working and said he was extremely well mannered and very sweet. He posed for pics, told a few jokes and even offered to get her a cup of coffee.

    This is Danny Trejo. He starred in Machete, and has recently gotten into the food and beverage business by opening a taqueria.

    Not at all surprising if you’re not in the habit of judging a book by it’s cover. He can be very well-spoken, if that’s what he is choosing to convey. He’s just a non conformist and doesn’t give two * what judgmental people think.

    I like sweet Moscato, if wine is the only option.

    I’m not picky. Kirkland Select Cab or Pinot Noir from Costco are fine for me. I like some Spanish wines. Nothing over $10.
