I knew a Dimitri who always went by Dima. Russian names have a ton of nicknames. Google tells me Mitya is also a nickname for Dimitri. So even though the full name Dimitri sounds like Demi / Demetria, it’s possible he’ll go by a nickname that sounds a lot different.

Obviously about Ashton and Mila’s son, Dimitri, but I really think whomever said this was reaching. Mila is Ukrainian and Dmitry/Dimitri is a super common Slavic name. I would not be at all surprised if it’s a family name for Mila either. So, weird that it kinda-sorta sounds like Demi? No. Just a coincidence that they probably didn’t think about.
