The Feud Continues

men-arm-wrestling[Blind Gossip] This ugly on-set feud between these two macho movie stars got a lot of coverage a few months ago.

We noted at the time that there was this odd undercurrent of self-promotion that seemed out of place. The bigger star – who was much more vocal and public about the beef – kept interjecting his account of the feud with promotions for his other projects and products.

Months later, everyone’s moved on, right? No. While the smaller actor has moved on from the embarrassing incident, the bigger star is not quite done profiting off of it!

The feud wasn’t just opportunistic. It was calculated. It helped to sell the movie. Although it was over months ago, he will be bringing it up again as [his next project] premieres so people will talk about him.

He is also thinking about working with [rival] again because he knows that it would bring in a huge audience who will be anticipating some sort of friction or fight between the two.

So not only is he going to use the old feud to promote his new project… he is considering dragging the smaller star he supposedly hates into another new project just for the publicity!

    The rock is not above fake publicity after all, I guess, if most people doesnt know what happened behind the scene then i’ll say go for it, cause i’m sure people will curious how it’s gonna turn out, but if most people already read this blind item then the fake feud is not gonna work out well so its better just to forget it.

    Oh yeah i guess both of them are “big” Ace, not small at all. 😀

    No, I think that he needs to be the bigger (no pun intended) and intelligent person move on. He doesn’t need to have scandal in order to sell films, I love the guy but not this behavior.

      I known The Rock in real life. He is 6 3″ at best. Actually, I’m pretty sure he is only 6 2″.

Hopefully everyone understands by now that there is a large invisible dome over LA where the mores of decency, common sense, & and good judgement that the rest of us live by do not break through that invisible dome to affect, or interfere with a talent pursuing his/her own best interest.

    Why does the song “Secret Lovers” keep playing over and over in my head? They’ll both profit from keeping it alive. That’s why pretty soon they’ll be in buddy pics. Can they sing? I see Bing Crosby and Bob Hope type movies. Light hearted for our dark times.

    Dwayne Johnson and Vin Diesel. Johnson is a good talker and can sell anything, I think if Vin doesn’t have a problem and is, presumably, getting rewarded, let them do what they want.

      It’s pathetic alright but press and self promotion keep them relevant and in demand just by virtue of their image. Kim kardashian plays the game to the bank but can’t stand her. Disappointed in the Rock tho.

    If both parties are on board for this “promotional stunt” and both are in total agreement, then by all means. It’s business and they both have projects and brands to sell. Hope things work out well for them both.

    All’s fair in Hollywood! Fake fights and drama “break out” all the time around actors in movies, rappers, and even singers. It’s all part of the game. I don’t blame him for trying to cash in on it but it does look rather cheesy and desperate to all of us mere mortals who have to actually live real lives (working, going to school, etc).
