They would like to ensure that he continues the family tradition in the business. But it’s about much more than that.

It’s about building up his self-esteem, keeping him busy… and keeping him in a profession where long-time friends of the family can keep an eye on him!

The parents would prefer for him to work directly with them, but he is resisting. Now they are working on getting him gigs where people they know and trust are in charge… and will report back to the family in case the son starts to engage in any kind of “bad” behavior.

It doesn’t matter that the son actually isn’t very enthusiastic about acting.

    Because the article said the couple and they are… Cameron is not Catherine Zeta Jones son.
    Tom Hanks and Rita Wilson have a son Chet that has drug issues and even went missing once.

    I am going to go with Tom Hanks, Rita Wilson, and son Chet as the blind states both parents are actors. Douglas kids mother is not famous, CZJ is a step parent.

    Clues: none that I can think of. I do believe the picture is a clue, but can’t think of any famous acting couple where at least one of the half stars in the Star Wars franchise and fit the blind item.

    Good plan?: I can understand the parents wanting to help him out, try to have friends keep an eye on him so he doesn’t go back to drugs, but if Cameron doesn’t want to be an actor I doubt it will work out well.

    I think it’s a very good plan. Why is he bucking it? Probably wants to use again. I really hope he makes it. Life is tough enough. No reason to make it even harder than it already is.

    Michael Douglass and Catherine Zeta Jones. Sure it’s a good plan. Everyone acting now is the child of a famous person and not particularly good at their craft, so their son should fit right in.

    [Optional] Good plan? The ‘kid’ is 37 years old. He needs major counseling and a huge life change and stay away from old ‘friends’ and habits. He has to want to change, not have his family try to make the change for him. I truly wish him good luck.

    Kind of a stab, but I think this might be Tom Hanks and Rita Wilson getting work for son Chet Hanks. He recently did Marc Maron’s show. And I totally think this is a good plan! It takes a village. Good for them.

    Tom Hanks and his wannabe rapper son? If my guess is right, it’s an alright plan as long as the son goes along with it and can ya know, ACT. The kid’s an absolute idiot though and a complete embarrassment to his parents with that faux gangster crap, going around using racial slurs. And isn’t he already on drugs?

      No, but posing with guns and using the “N” word does. An addict’s addiction is the reason for their behavior, but it is not an excuse. That’s why we take a moral inventory, list the people we’ve wronged, attempt to make amends, and continue the personal inventory- admitting when we are wrong along the way.

      I think this is it. Everyone’s guessing Michael Douglas because his son Cameron just got out of prison on drug charges. But CZJ is Cam’s step-mom, not mom, and his mom is not an actress I don’t think.
