money tree 5[Blind Gossip] Why in the world would someone voluntarily walk away from millions of dollars to which they are legally entitled?

In this case, it’s because the husband didn’t want his ex-wife spilling his secrets!

She’s known about his gay hookups for years – since even before they were married – but during the divorce she decided to use them as a weapon. She wielded those secrets like a club. Basically, if he didn’t agree to back off and and stop shaking her money tree, she was ready to spill all beans in a way that would make him look like a perverted chronic cheater and make herself look like the heartbroken victim of his cruelty.

He knows that this was not an idle threat. She is the one who leaked one of his affairs to the press. He knows that she would do it again in a heartbeat. Or a song. Or four songs. Or forty songs.

He knows that if he publicly accused her of having her own affairs during the marriage, she would have feigned innocence and declared it a retaliatory move on his part. He has seen first-hand just how easy it is for her to play the innocent victim, to lie about relationships, and to sway public support to her side.

That is why he chose to walk away and leave those millions on the table.

    This Gavin and gwen. He enjoyed enough it her money while they were married. And he had er e to have affairs? He hasn’t been with Bush in years. Only in the last year or so. Whike she busted her behind making money. I don’t care if she isn’t as nice as she seems.he was a house husband and couldn’t ern handle that. He could have left years ago if he was so unhappy.. There was no gun held to his head to make him stay married to her.

    Oh it’s Gwen and Gavin alright. So much for the progressive mentality. Behind close doors they are homophobic and intolerant as they come. She knew he was bisexual from the get go. She made her choice. Any person going into a relationship in entertainment should know their significant other will likely cheat at some point. Did she think he would do it with only women knowing he slept with men. Geesh.

    Everyone knows he’s bisexual…just didn’t know he was a serial cheater..yikes…the juicy stories she must be dangling over his head to make him walk away from millions….I figured something like that was up when I read details of their divorce settlement today.

    Gwen and Gavin. If they have both been unfaithful during the marriage, and Gwen has known about his gay hookups all along, it does seem unfair for her to use her greater popularity to control him.
    …or is it possible that he thinks he can make do with his smaller (but still sizeable) fortune, and knows that fighting over money he doesn’t need will only end up screwing up his kids? I don’t know anything about Gavin Rossdale, but wouldn’t it be nice if he is merely being decent.

      And the more I think about it, I don’t think Gwen would spill any more really bad dirt on Gavin because she knows how damaging that would be to the kids. Plus, since she seems to have “allowed” him the bigger portion of child custody, it indicates she thinks he’s a good dad and would rather have the kids with him than with nannies. Though I’m sure she was hurt during her marriage, but I think the pity party she so shamelessly throws for herself is all to sell her music and make more money…

    Since he doesn’t want his secrets to come out, I guess he made a smart decision. But since people already know he’s been with a guy, he could’ve just let her spill his secrets (or told his version beforehand) and gotten some money.
    I wish people would just be who they are. I’m sure it’ll be easier for them that hiding, sneaking around, bearding, letting others threatened them, etc.

    Although I DO NOT condone cheating, she should have not married him knowing his past and if she told the media before and threat to do so again it makes HER looks like she isn’t thinking about how this effects the kids. Hopefully he can get his life back on track and be true to himself, clearly he wasn’t happy with GS. She should have left him years ago, she acts like bouncing back after 3 kids was easy with Blake…we know that is fake.

    Obviously Gwen Stefani and Gavin Rossdale. I think that it was smart to walk away…mostly for the sake of the kids. A messy, public fight and divorce can’t be easy on children (who are also in the public eye themselves). I see a lot of therapy in their future.

      Never mind – this is Gwen and Gavin. Well, I guess if he doesn’t want the information to be told he’s doing what he needs to do. She’s apparently been through a lot of humiliation in this divorce, and family secrets don’t have to be kept if people are no longer family.

    He is entitled to 50/50 but “Rossdale agreed to an unequal split of property so Stefani will end up with more”.

    Probably smart to walk away. I don’t think she’s as sweet or innocent as she appears. From the PR w/ b-friend Blake, interviews, and photo ops, she wants to show how she was the committed wife/mother who was done wrong. All this PR is probably her calculated, offensive move and Gavin never stood a chance.

    Gavin and Gwen. No prenup, so by Calif law he was entitled to half of all she made during the marriage (he was actually more famous for about a minute when they first got together but she long ago eclipsed his success). Instead he agreed to a much more modest cut of the assets.
    She did an interview not too long ago in which she said she wished she could tell everything bc it was “so juicy,” but she had to think about the kids. Even then I thought that was a veiled threat to him.

      Gwen’s a b*tch to do this. Secrets learned in a marriage are sacred, unless the person has done something to hurt children, then all bets are off. I’m not a fan of either of them, but I think Gavin is the more talented of the two — at least Bush put out a few great tunes back in the day. How Gwen S became a big star, I’ll never know.

      Fidelity is also sacred in a marriage. Putting the children’s first are also sacred in a marriage. He shattered all those and all that was sacred when he banged the children’s nanny for years.
