Sabotaging The Singer

Her old boss is so powerful that it could be difficult to find a new home… not to mention the fact that her old boss may be trying to sabotage her!

It’s not [Old Boss] himself making the calls or sending the emails. He’s keeping his hands clean on this one. It’s his underlings who are hinting to other labels that if they sign her, his artists will snub their artists. No more collaborations, no more tour openers, etc. Like, “Hey, we were thinking about having [your artist] do a feature vocal on one of the songs on [our artist’s] new album, but if you sign [Singer] maybe we’ll keep looking around.” Not really a threat, but the message is clear.

    This is about Rita and Jay, he just released her yesterday…I think Kesha is still with Sony.

    Rita has zero talent. I can’t stand when women clearly try to look different than they naturally do i.e. her bleached white hair. Her hair has always looked terrible, I’m sure Bey was laughing hysterically when she was eluding herself to be the “Becky with the good hair”.

    This is Rita Ora, not Kesha. Kesha is still signed to Sony, whereas Rita Ora is currently in the news for getting out of her contract with Jay Z.

    Both are awful. Jay Z is a creep and Ora is a one hit wonder.

    “Dr” Luke’s underlings doing this just makes it even more clear that Kesha has been telling the truth all along. I will never spend a penny on ANY project from his label or his underlings.

    Kesha cannot be surprised that Dr Luke will continue to control her career by not allowing her to have one.

    We saw many artists offer support to her, but besides Zedd (?) no one producer-wise really did.

    Poor, poor Kesha. She’s a great example of strength and beauty and talent. I hope she breaks free from this and knows she’s got all of the support from so many people.

    Dr. Luke is a disgusting person. A friend of a friend had a run in with him and his behavior is so…. UGH.

      I wouldnt also want 2work with someone who hires for wrong reasons. Obviously…illegal. Then risk factor. Unless hes super rich i wouldnt put my name on less then average investment that would make me side eye his labels intention. Obviously not everyone is Mariah or Ariana but why fite so hard 2keep just average talent. Sorry 4vent but I always felt more to this/somethings off/ weird vibe like why take so long 2come out. both sides lying cuz things went south 2fast 2know how 2 fix?

    I wouldn’t sign Kesha, period. I suspect this was all a ploy to get out of her contract. I’d possibly believe her side of the story if she hadn’t once denied under oath that Dr. Luke sexually assaulted her and if she weren’t a known liar (i.e. when she received heat for “Die Young” after the Sandy Hook shootings, then claimed she was “forced” to sing it despite the fact that she’s one of the song’s co-writers).

    I don’t understand why he is not fired yet but I would probably just make fun of his artist and just get on with my day. That Zedd feature she did was nice. Hopefully she can create more smashing hits. She is talented and I love her energy and vibe.

      She can sing though (although it’s often heavily auto tuned) and write songs. It’s not about her being “a loss”, it’s her damn career/livelihood/passion and she shouldn’t be blackballed for calling him out for sexual abuse! Wtf even

      It’s not about you and whether or not you personally find her entertaining or talented. It’s about the fact that nobody should have to work in an intimidating workplace. Sabotaging someone for coming out about sexual assault is unethical and cruel.
