Oscar Party Pills

[Blind Gossip] At one of the Oscar after-parties, this Oscar nominee was in the ladies room. She was calling out to a female friend/assistant/publicist nearby.

She was yelling, “Where is it? Where is it?” The other woman was yelling back, “Where’s what?” The [Oscar nominee] said, “My vitamins! I need my vitamins! Now!” The other woman went digging in her purse and then handed her this bottle that looked like a prescription pill bottle. It was one of those amber plastic bottles with the white childproof caps.

Who takes vitamins at a party at 11:00 pm?

    I agree with the Michelle Williams guesses. It’s really a shame, as her daughter has already lost one parent to prescription drugs.

    Michelle Williams, her +1 was Busy Philips and she had a purse. Don’t think an employee would yelled back at a star/boss, it has to be a friend or relative.

    I do. I pop pills at parties, cause otherwise I’d likely end up in a sweaty heap on the bathroom floor. I have a chronic illness that is exacerbated by typical party activities. My choices are to pop pills in public (discretely, I might add) or avoid social activities all together.

    Could be anything. Withhold judgment.

      Me too.
      I take a handful of pills at a couple of different times (including late at night) because some interact badly with others and I need to separate them.
      If you are managing a chronic illness, this does not seem odd at all.

      In this case, it more likely WAS a “party pill” (ecstasy, perhaps? or is that no longer trendy?) but one never really knows another person’s struggles.

    Don’t know who the actress is, but I’m sure that no one here would be shocked or surprised, that’s normal behavior for these people.

    I know it’s lame but i am convinced taking a multivitamin right after drinking alcohol makes the hangovers alot smoother

      Yeah I mean the timing isn’t the issue. You can take ‘herbal vitamins’ or could do a B shot at any time to get a bit of energy. It was meant to be a big, late night where you had to be ON for press, peers, cameras, etc.

    I don’t know who this was, but my guess, based on her behavior and the fact that it was Oscar night is Xanax or something similar.
