BlindGossip – Some actors just push it and push it with their off-screen antics. If you are Charlie Sheen – who is the lead on a successful sitcom that makes a lot of money – you can get away with it. But if you are an unpopular character on a television show that is past its prime, you are replaceable. This young actress has pushed her luck one too many times, and if she has a hard time landing new roles (which she might), she may wind up just having been a flash in the pan. Her character isn’t being killed off, or fired, or even written off. She’s just going to fade away via fewer lines and fewer episodes. The actress is upset about it, but we don’t even know who she can turn to, as she hasn’t made many friends in the industry.
SOLVED!
It’s Taylor Momsen of Gossip Girl! Source: BG
Turns out that we were right. She was just a flash in the pan.
Ace’s Rules of Celebrity dictate that if you behave badly, tick off everyone you work with, and are unpopular with the audience, you will get fired.
At the end of 2010, her role in Gossip Girl was greatly reduced:
From DeadlineHollywood:
Sources confirm that the increasingly volatile actress — who has appeared in a grand total of three episodes this fall despite being listed as a series regular — will begin an indefinite hiatus following next Monday’s episode. Although reps for The CW and producer Warner Bros. declined to comment, sources confirm that Momsen’s Jenny will be MIA for at least four episodes beginning with the show’s midseason finale on Dec. 6. The news comes as the 17-year-old Pretty Reckless singer’s off-screen antics continue to raise eyebrows.
From AllieIsWired:
Even Tim Gunn thought she was a little pain in the butt. He appeared as a mentor to her character on an episode from last month. He said, “What a diva. She was pathetic, she couldn’t remember her lines, and she didn’t even have that many. I thought to myself, ‘Why are we being held hostage by this brat?’”
In December 2010, Momsen was fired from IMG. Momsen first signed with the modeling agency two years prior, when she was 14. Among her gigs was scoring the cover of Teen Vogue’s September 2009 issue.
In January 2011, Taylor was fired as the face of Madonna and Lourdes Leon‘s Material Girl fashion line. She was replaced by Kelly Osbourne.
In May 2011, Taylor was permanently fired from Gossip Girl.
In August 2011, she quit acting altogether:
From Us Weekly:
Taylor Momsen’s acting days are over!
The 18-year-old Pretty Reckless singer told Elle magazine that she’s “quit acting” and wants to focus solely on her music career.
“I quit Gossip Girl and now tour and am in a band,” she told the site. “That’s pretty much all I want to do. Hopefully, I’ll be able to only do that for the rest of my life.”
In November, Momsen began an “indefinite hiatus” from Gossip Girl amid numerous headlines about her shocking wardrobe and foul-mouthed interviews. In May, Us Weekly confirmed she would not be reprising her role as Jenny Humphrey on the CW hit.
The photo we provided for this one was a big clue. Almost everyone got this one right, starting with Rawkaz and Curious. Congratulations to all!
