meltdown[Blind Gossip] This funny actress – who currently stars in a big movie – comes across as extremely confident and self-assured. We were surprised to hear that she is exactly the opposite in real life!

 

That confidence thing is all bulls*t. Very thin skinned. You would think that after years of being on stage, she could handle hecklers and ignore the critics, but she is in chronic meltdown mode.

Loves to play the victim. If you don’t like her movie, it’s because you’re misogynist. If you don’t laugh at her jokes, you’re a racist. If you won’t give her a dress, you’re a sizest.  If you won’t hire her, you’re heightest or ageist or weightest or racist or all of the above. Always an excuse, always the victim. Total meltdown if there’s the slightest glitch in production or criticism of her on social media.

If she wants to continue to work, she needs to toughen up, because she’s a total pain in the ass to work with. No excuse for someone that old to be so immature and unprofessional.

    I know Leslie Jones is in the news recently, but this has to be Melissa McCarthy.
    “if you don’t like her movies”…how many movies has Leslie Jones been in? McCarthy has been in many, including some real duds.
    She claimed Mike & Molly got cancelled because she got too thin? Victim.
    Was the FIRST to do the “no one will dress me” thing. Victim.
    And Christian from PR said she was a nightmare to work with. Whereas he dressed and supports Jones.

    Sounds like Leslie Jones. I’m pretty appalled by a lot of reactions here.

    Have you seen her twitter? There’s a LOT of seriously offensive stuff. Even if she’s a “total pain in the *” to work with, what people have tweeted was beyond heckling. This was racist, gamergate-level harassment directed towards one single human being. People have commited suicide because of this kind of behaviour. I’m sorry, but what happened to her was not ok, thick skin or not.

    No one deserves that.

    This is obviously Leslie Jones, and no, she’s not being thin-skinned. She is absolutely correct at being shocked and saddened by the vile comments made towards her. I admire her for getting involved and speaking out.

    About the dress thing, she merely mentioned the fact that she was turned down by several designers. I don’t recall her saying anything about misogyny (she may have, I don’t know).

    I don’t know if she is too thin-skinned. I would be exasperated too if I had to deal with the onslaught from that creep Milo and the blowback from the stylists. If I recall, she had email proof that her people did reach out to designers and stylists well before the premiere.

    Maybe she has become reactive but I can’t blame her.

    Is it Melissa McCarthy? She comes across and bubbly and fun and confident. Currently starring in Ghostbusters, complained in 2012 that no designers would dress her for the Oscars, has stated all of the heat the Ghstbusters reboot has taken is down to misogyny, etc.

    Leslie Jones. I enjoy her on SNL and followed her for a while on Twitter. Even though I agree with a lot of her views, I got tired of her tweets. She is kind of whiny and obnoxious, so I unfollowed. Even so, I’m really glad she helped get Milo Y. banned. He’s a bully who instigates incredibly hateful, ugly, harassment by MRAs/PUAs/4Chan/Redpill/basic everyday insecure *, just to feed his addiction to attention.

    After seeing all of the nastiness she received on Twitter, I don’t blame her at all for being sensitive. I can’t imagine how being constantly harassed for your looks, race, age, weight, gender, etc. wouldn’t affect even the most confident of people.

    Too thin-skinned? Well…no, actually, I don’t think so. Certainly not in 2016. The stuff people send her on Twitter is horrifying, so I have no doubt that she gets a lot of racism and misogyny and other abuse everywhere else in her life, and nobody should have to pretend they’re okay with that.

    (But the new Ghostbusters movie is a C-, at best; that’s all on the script and director, though.

Hints regarding age, weight, dress (designers wouldn’t dress her for premiere so someone made her that killer red dress, which she looked GREAT in), and just recently on her Twitter people made fun of her looks and she went ballistic defending herself from haters.
    I get a kick out of her because she IS hysterical.

    It’s Lesley Jones, she had a bit of a breakdown on Twitter last night. Having seen what people are Tweeting at her, I don’t think she’s the one in the wrong.

    She gets waaaay more abuse than a lot of other stars get, it’s only because she’s not meekly accepting abuse that people are saying she’s
    touchy. She’s not the ones deciding to abuse her, why should people like that get to decide how she’s allowed to respond to abuse?

    I was not happy about the dress debacle, only because she could have used that moment to support an up and coming designer.

    WTF-ever. I don’t think calling out trolls for being hateful jerks and Twitter for having weak policies against intentionally racist and inflammatory statements is being thin-skinned. Neither is challenging conventionally accepted beauty norms. Let’s be real — LJ rocks a lot of look unlike anything or anybody else.     I know she fought back against twitter trolls last night, but think its justified to be upset. The stuff being flung at her was harsh and hateful.

    I do not think shes too thin skinned at all. I think shes a strong and outspoken woman and does not deserve the hate thrown at her.

    BTW this applies to all celebs. They reach out to their fans to connect, not to have abuse thrown at them.

Not being able to be clothed if you’re not a sample size IS sizeist (and is more of a reflection of the entire industry).       But why is the onus on her to “learn to ignore the trolls”? How about the trolls learn that if they troll, they’re off Twitter/Facebook/etc?
      She got Milo whatsisname booted off of Twitter, which buys her a lot of leeway in my books.

      +1 She had a tech writer for Breitbart permanently suspended from Twitter claiming he was racist (he never actually said anything racist, and it was a total of 3 tweets). Really her reason was because he gave her Ghostbusters movie a scathing critical review. Grow a backbone and woman up, please. You look like and idiot.
