SOLVED!
[Blind Gossip] Everybody is lying about the casting change on this TV show! Here is the inside story:
One of the stars of a TV show leaked some personal info to the press about a famous actor. Bad move.
The actor’s friend, an industry powerhouse who works with the star, was shocked when they found out that the star was the leaker. They couldn’t believe that the star would be so indiscreet and so disloyal! So Powerhouse promptly fired the star. OK, well not exactly fired. But Powerhouse told Star that her contract “will not be renewed.” In television, that’s basically the same thing as being fired (minus all the legal fuss).
Because the show doesn’t want a big controversy about cast member changes (which has happened before), everyone is pretending that it was Star’s decision to leave the show, and that Powerhouse is very sad about it.
Ha! Those are both lies. Star would never have left such a cushy job voluntarily! However, she made an unforgivable mistake by crossing the Powerhouse and being disloyal, and she is now paying the ultimate price for it.
Live by the big mouth, die by the big mouth.

We published this blind item exactly a year ago. Then we got yelled at by lots of people: “Stop saying that Barbara fired Joy! It’s not true! Joy voluntarily left! She is moving on to new opportunities!”
Well, the truth is finally trickling out. From TVLine:
Barbara Walters:
Joy Behar, Elisabeth Hasselbeck
Were Booted from The View to ‘Shake Things Up’
Did Joy Behar and Elisabeth Hasselbeck leave The View of their own accord, or were they pushed out?
A new interview with the retirement-bound Barbara Walters all but confirms that it was the latter, despite initial claims that the pair chose to exit ABC’s venerable gabfest.
“These are not Barbara and Bill’s decisions,” Walters told TVLine’s sister site, Variety, referring to herself and View EP Bill Geddie. “The network is also involved. I think the feeling was if one went, both had to leave. We needed to shake things up.”
Barbara Walters is a such a liar! She didn’t just lie about the departure of Behar being voluntary last year. She has lied about every cast member that has ever been fired! Just ask Debbie or Star or Elisabeth.
Walters likes to pretend that her hosts voluntarily leave and that she is ever-so-sorry to see them go. She thinks it makes her look like a nice person. And when it is revealed that they were actually fired, she claims that it was not her decision.
Barbara Walters is the Creator, Executive Producer, and Host of The View and it absolutely is her decision!
Did you ever notice that Barbara Walters sometimes talks about herself in that weird third person way? It’s called illeism. Psych patients with narcissism use it to make themselves seem more grandiose. Patients with dissociative disorders use it as a way of talking about unpleasant things in a depersonalized fashion. We’ll let you decide if Walters talks this way because she is a narcissist or because she thinks it disassociates her the unpleasantness of firing people. Either way, it’s weird.
So, now that you know that Barbara Walters did, in fact, fire Joy Behar, let’s talk about why!
In 2006, Barbara Walters almost fired Joy Behar because Behar had blabbed to the press that Rosie O’Donnell was joining the show. It was a closely guarded secret at the time, and Walters was furious!
Walters told Behar that it was an unforgivable breach of confidence and that she was not going to renew Behar’s contract. Behar apologized and groveled her way out of that firing, but Walters warned her that if she ever betrayed a confidence again, that she would be fired.
Six years later, in 2013, Barbara Walters got the chicken pox. She confided to Joy Behar that she caught the disease kissing actor Frank Langella on New Year’s Eve. (Creepy sidenote: Frank Langella dated Whoopie Goldberg for years before dating Barbara Walters). Joy Behar blabbed the story to everyone… including members of the press.
Walters was absolutely enraged by this breach of confidence! She didn’t want people to know that she was dating Langella, and she didn’t want to have to disclose that Langella had a health condition called shingles (which comes from the same virus that causes chicken pox). Behar was immediately notified that her “contract would not being renewed.”
On March 5, 2013, Barbara Walters publicly confirmed that she had contracted the chicken pox from Frank Langella, whom she claimed she simply “kissed on the cheek on New Year’s Eve.”
Two days later, on March 7, 2013, Joy Behar announced that she was “voluntarily” leaving The View.
Joy Behar was FIRED.

Congratulations to everyone who got this one right! Neartstarlet was first with the complete answer!
