[Blind Gossip] This famous film actor usually plays very distinguished characters. He has won just about every major acting award, including an Oscar (although that award was not given for a royal role).
Given his esteemed reputation, you would think that he would have a long list of criteria and demands for for the kinds of roles or films he will consider.
Nope! We were surprised to hear that it is actually very easy to get him to star in your film!
It doesn’t matter what the role is or what the subject is. If you are willing to pay him at least a million dollars, and he has the time available in his calendar, he’ll do it.
Really? Then we are totally having him star in our first movie!
BTW, this is NOT the same actor as the one in the Similar blind item below.

[Optional] Have you ever taken a job just because the money was right?
Strides says
Geoffrey Rush.
SeijnSei says
A million dollars does not seem like enough money for ANY of the people suggested.
PizzaDog says
This has to be Ben Kingsley.
If you look at his awards list in his IMDB there are like 597 different awards on there. He won an Oscar for Ghandi. And if you look at the IMDB itself the variety of roles he has played is extensive and all over the place. I remember when I saw him as Trevor in Iron Man 3 I was like “is that Ben Kingsley??”. Just seemed so random.
gdchenley says
Christian Bale(knight of cups)
dontpanik says
Sir Anthony Hopkins
Optional: Yes, because I’m poor and that’s how I decide what job to take.
mar1ey says
Anthony Hopkins. I do enjoy his acting, although he is in as many movies ac Nick Cage.

Anthony Hopkins

Going to go with Colin Firth.
– “Royal” = The Kings Speech
– Won Oscar, Golden; Globe, Bafta, Afca, etc. etc.
mystery man 2 says
Al Pacino. That’s explain why he was in Jack and Jill.
jonty30 says
Michael Caine?
He’s been known to say that when he looks at the scripts he receives, he will consider Award nomination potential roles first. Barring that, what will get him an award for supporting actors. Barring that, whatever pays the bills that month.
thelasthigh says
good for him. he probably has interesting experiences by not being snobby
FiyahHotFlashy says

Could this be the very esteemed DANIEL DAY-LEWIS? He has won every award there is! At first I thought Colin Firth, but then he won his Oscar for being a king in The King’s Speech. So, I say this is the wonderful DANIEL DAY-LEWIS. Just let him be the method actor that he is! Lol.
memary says
GOD NO. Daniel Day Lewis is non-arguably the best actor of our time. He is only in well regarded movies every few years and stays out of the limelight at all times.
Please think more highly of him 🙂
sassygurl1987 says
I’m changing my answer to Sir Anthony Hopkins!
inopickme says
Sir Ben Kingsley!
Kerzep says
Ben Kingsley?
Of COURSE I’ve taken a job just for the money – I thought everyone had.
lepidoteran says
Anthony Hopkins
– won an Oscar for a very *undistinguished* role: Hannibal Lecter
Optional: No; other factors have always weighed more than money (e.g., relocating or not) each time I’ve received a job offer.
richie guy says
SOTL was a very original story and Hopkins brought it all to that part with so little air time.
oyevey says
Robert DE Niro! Certainly explains Dirty Grandpa.
plumplum says
Michael Caine or Morgan freeman ?
augustmom says
Anthony Hopkins
andyo115 says
I was going to say Forest Whitaker (Last King of Scotland) or Colin Firth (The King’s Speech) but it says not a royal role. And Robert DeNiro seems to take on really crappy roles but he’s the one associated with the other blind so I’ll go with Al Pacino. Hooah!
chicagogirl says
Jeremy Irons
Virgo826 says
Ben Kingsley
(KINGSley = royal role)
nascosto1219 says
either Collin Firth or Anthony Hopkins
goggles says
Jeremy Irons…?
JenLTX says
Anthony Hopkins. He does a LOT. And he’s filming the Transformers, for crying out loud. Clues are royal (he’s a Knight), but Oscar was for Silence of the Lambs (still gives me shivers).
Cindylouwho says
Actor: Jeremy Irons or Ben Kingsley?
Optional: Of course! Even Angela Lansbury recently said she took Murder She Wrote for the money. Michael Caine was once asked why he did a certain movie. His answer? “For the money”. Not totally sure, but I think it was Blame It On Rio (now THAT I’d believe lol).
kelno19 says
Ha, ha, Michael Caine took Jaws 43 so he could buy a house. His quote was something like, great house, awful movie.
wfreshie says
jaws 4 and caine was quoted as saying ” I never saw jaws 4, but I saw the house it built”
Cindylouwho says
LOL that sounds just like something he’d say and totally mean it! The blind could be him, but the reasons I thought it might not be were 1. “usually plays very distinguished characters” – I’ve mostly seen him play goofballs. 2. “every major acting award, including AN Oscar” – he has two Oscars, both for supporting roles and I consider lead roles “major”. 3. “not given for a royal role” – implies to me the actor has played several or more royal roles and I don’t think he has.
micmac says
Michael Caine
heartcouture says
Robert de Niro
spookie says
Oh man, he will literally do ANYTHING at this point. I think he just really, really, enjoys making films, but doesn’t care about how well they will do.
boyzmom says
I want to say Colin Firth, but he won an Oscar for playing King George. So maybe Anthony Hopkins?
WaitLemmeGuess says
I think it is Hopkins. It says he didn’t win for a royal role. Hopkins’ breakthrough role in film was as Richard the Lionheart in the Lion in Winter. He was nominated for best supporting actor, but didn’t win. He did win later in 1993 for lead actor in Remains of the Day. He fits the clues well.
Squeezes99 says
That’s why he does what I consider to be low class movies, although others call them box office hits.
PhoenixRising says
I’ve been a fan of Anthony Hopkins for a long, long time. However, even he couldn’t save “Audrey Rose,” which was one of the worst movies ever! If this is Hopkins, then his taking that role for the money makes more sense.
