This pretty actress, who has starred in multiple TV shows and multiple films, is very ill… and has gone off her meds. She doesn’t like the way they make her feel, so she simply stopped taking them.

All of the old symptoms are back, including her obsession with her appearance and plastic surgery, talking about herself in the third person, and lashing out at other celebrities.

She has been with family in the past couple of weeks, so they likely are aware of all this.

    I know everyone is guessing Amanda Bynes but the clues don’t fit – “beloved”, “multiple TV shows”, “multiple movies”. Don’t think so.

    Also, what plastic surgery has Amanda had?

    I’m not sure who it is, but I’m pretty sure it is NOT Amanda.

    Amanda?……You can’t “put her meds in water”, these things work somewhat, but are toxic, have terrible side effects. If you’re mentally ill, you cannot hit rock bottom/want to get better. You are afflicted just as if a limb was missing.

    Hmm, while I would like to go along with everyone and say it’s Amanda Bynes but the clues doesn’t exactly match. I don’t recall Amanda Bynes having plastic surgery? So maybe it’s Jennie Garth, or the actress who played Lisa Turtle?

    This has to be Carrie Fisher. She is a beloved celebrity and has been open about her bipolar illness. In what universe is Amanda Bynes a beloved celebrity?

    Just thank God she’s with family. They’ll do whatever they have to do and they have plenty of pull. It’s a blessing she’s with them.

    Has to be Amanda Bynes. She’s been posting from a secret Twitter account and has lashed out at celebs including Michelle Trachtenberg and Ariana Grande. The tweets are truly next level stuff and definitely read like someone who is struggling with mental health. Also a lot of tweets about plastic surgery, botox, etc.

      If she’s mentally ill, SHE is the ok one, it’s the world, all against her, that is wrong. So why should she want to ‘get help’?

Pretty TV and film actress with ongoing mental problems that requires meds, with an obsession about her appearance, and tendency towards starting flame wars with other celebs from out in left field. The obsession about her looks is weird because she was gifted with a naturally perfect face. She was also very talented, like LiLo was. Both were insanely charismatic and gifted. What Hollywood does to kids is sick.

    get her in court, get her under conservatorship, get her out of show biz (although she’s been out for like a decade already, but properly out of the scene. move her to somewhere she can focus on a normal life).

    I think her family should get her back in a treatment facility if she’s refusing to take her meds. If not, then they should at least just be there for her.

    Amanda Bynes. Hard to say, you can’t force someone to take their meds. Sometimes people just have to hit rock bottom before they can realize the best for themselves.

      That sometimes works for addicts. Mentally ill people have already hit rock bottom and then start digging, unless you force them to take medication, they will go live under a bridge and walk around pushing a shopping cart of junk. They don’t wake up one day and think, gee I should get a better life for myself.

    Shannen Doherty. All her family can do is be there and express their love for her. That is really all.

    I was watching an episode of 90210 from the first season. Shannen looked like a baby. It made me sad.

    Nothing really, anyone that has mental instability or is addicted to something has to want to want to do better for themselves, taking medicine is hard especially with the side effects, it’s better to be on them [medication] then to. Be dead or kill someone, being mentally ill doesn’t always get someone off for the crimes that one commits.

    Optional: unfortunately there isn’t much they can do as far as making her take her meds. They can be there for her, but they also shouldn’t be afraid to step aside if that’s what’s best for them. No judgment from me. I know the sweetest woman who has a son with schizoaffective disorder, and she eventually had to cut ties with him as he would become violent toward her and distort her home. He refused to…

      She’s fighting breast cancer so not off her meds. Blind says beloved celebrity so I really have no idea who this is.

      I was just thinking that having cancer may not mean that she isn’t taking other meds for another illness. She’s never been super liked, so probably not her. I kind of blanked when I guessed ?

      They need to get guardianship. This is a sad reality for those with mental illness, no one wants a mental illness and the meds have a slew of side-effects but it’s better to be a little overweight or tired than to be delusional and self-destructive. Sad.

      I know from personal experience that the medicine’s side effects are far worse than being overweight or tired. It is extremely difficult to function normally on the meds, and the side effects are often so unbearable, that you feel suicidal. That is why so many patients don’t stay on their meds. They’d rather hear voices and have delusions than feel their skin crawling or not be able to do simple things like sit still for a few seconds, have a conversation, or read a book.

      I agree. The family has to encourage their loved one to take meds; but the side effects are so terrible, anyone can understand why the person would stop.
      The pharmaceutical industry should be ashamed.

      I don’t think Amanda is beloved and I just read her tweets, she’s happy and in school. I really hope it’s not her.
