[Blind Gossip] This actor is the well-known star of multiple action adventure films.
He went to a venue in the last few weeks and brought along a few people with him.
He was told, “You need your guests to sign in.”
He looked surprised and said, “I need to guess your sign? What?”
“No! You need your guests to sign!”
“I don’t know your sign! I have no idea what your sign is! Virgo? What kind of stupid game is this?”
He eventually understood, but he is obviously a little deaf and easily annoyed.
No, it was not noisy at the venue. And he is only middle-aged.

Favorite? Meh! He’s been playing the same character since Taps, just different names and costumes… At least they had the sense to kill him off in Taps.

I have no idea, but in his defense, actions stars probably get a lot of injuries we don’t hear about, so he just might be suffering from hearing loss from explosions or hits to the head.

He is doing a press tour for his new movie around Europe so maybe the accent made it difficult for him to understand what the person was saying

Daniel Craig? Not sure. Relying on other readers for this one.
My guess, the actor may have some hearing loss from the action film sets and being around explosives, car crashes, yelling etc. My brother is deaf and my hubby has some loss from early concert/ university days. For him it’s higher pitched sounds for others it can be lower. Maybe it wasn’t noisy at this venue but it’s the type of noise. A person with good hearing isn’t a fair judge of another’s hearing loss. Just saying.

I’m deaf. Lost my hearing in high school. Welcome to the club, hope you don’t mind being lonely.
red246 says
Yeah, I do enjoy being lonely – not deaf but have MS, now classed as ‘disabled’……. it’s not contagious, it’s just that everyone thinks it is!

Tell them and more importantly yourself you’re a different kind of ABLED. We all have something. Find things your good at and you’ll attract people who operate at a higher level. Trust,
shesboss says
My brother is/was too. When our father died he finally was able to afford two special hearing aids. It didn’t give 100% but it helped. He did have a few friends before but it helped. He realized he was isolating himself from insecurity and frustration. Find a way.

Middle-aged lets out Sly Stallone and Bruce Willis. And Clint Eastwood. So I’ll go with Tom Cruise as he’s still sorta middle aged.
Favorite film: not being a TC fan, I haven’t seen many of his films. I’d say Interview with the Vampire. Campy Tom did a great Campy Lestat!
Brunettetalk says
87 year old Clint Eastwood is not middle aged unless his life expectancy is 160 (God save us)

I have no idea, but I have trouble understanding some people when they’re speaking to me. Some mumble, others talk really fast, etc I had to re-listen to a voice message left for me from some 20-something that went along the lines of, “Hello, this is like Tasha from like the ***### calling about that Mohlawd Dockling you left with us ….” I know I sometimes talk a little too fast, but when talking to a person or leaving a message, I stay short and to the point and make sure I slow down.
Whalesnark says
I start the message with my name and phone number, then I repeat both at the end of the message. It prevents the person from having to relisten to the whole message if they didn’t catch the number the first time. It’s not complicated, it’s simple courtesy.
