Girl Not On Fire

[Blind Gossip] This girl really disappointed a lot of fans recently.

There were multiple events going on at a major hotel in a big city. Our female singer sold tickets to perform in a small, private performance inside the theater. At the same time, other artists were scheduled to perform at the club.

Well, our singer decided to go to the club to check out the other artists.

And she stayed.

And partied.

And even jumped on stage to perform.

What about the fans who had shelled out their hard-earned money to see her perform in the small, private venue?

Well, they were left cooling their heels while she partied and performed at the other location… in the same building!

Her fans were not happy about it…

I was one of the fans who actually paid to see her at the theater. She had to nerve to show up over an hour late and then didn’t even play more than an hour’s worth of songs! She didn’t seem to have any energy either. She seemed tired and the energy in the room was just dead. Anyway, when she was done, the whole audience was pissed and started leaving. No one even wanted an encore because she was so pathetic!

We were so mad when we found out that the reason she was late and tired was because she was partying and performing at the club instead of the theater!

So this girl definitely wasn’t on fire for her paid performance. And no one who paid for a ticket for her private theater performance was happy about it.

    Optional: If she didn’t show up on time, and the performance haven’t started I would have tried to get my money back while it was still time. Other than that I would have just sucked it up.

    Her music is pretty meh, but she’s beautiful and should probably go into acting. I’ve always thought she would be a good pick for a Lena Horne bio pic.

    This is Alicia Keys who was partying in KAOS nightclub while she was supposed to be at the Pearl. Cardi B had too much fun as well, coming four hours late to Beauty Con in NYC after hanging at KAOS with the gang.
    If I was in the theater waiting for Alicia Keys I would have kept waiting. Why leave of you are already there. Poor show? Oh well last time I’d go see Alicia.

    Based on the Blind’s title, and the “Key” in related blind, I’d go with Alicia Keys.
    She also wears high heels while playing the piano.

    And it seems to fit with an event that took place at the Palms in Vegas last Friday.

    I’ve heard from a roadie (I think it was the Freedom tour) that she would usually go straight from the gig to her hotel, though… so it’s kind of unexpected from her.

      I would have stayed for her set and then groused about it later but nothing more. Even at the best of times, musical groups sometimes put out a clunker of a shoe. My very first Stones concert was like that, back in the late 70s. Mick was hoarse and the band didn’t seem to be very into the tour. But then forward to the 90s, when I heard them again and they were fantastic! It happens …

    I’m guessing Alicia Keys because of all the “girl on fire” hints, but I can’t find anything on her doing recent small performances, so I’m prepared to be totally off base.

    Sounds like Alicia Keys at KAOS in Las Vegas. I saw clips of her performance, and she looked/sounded great. There were a BUNCH of artists there to perform and celebrities in the audience. Sounds like this was all part of the plan to build up hype for the new club.
