After Kanye West and Taylor Swift called each other liars this morning, there were several calls to publicists this morning from Squad Members asking what they should do. Some wound up jumping into the fray. Others steered clear, but privately told Taylor that they supported her.

Taylor understood that public declarations of support might not be possible from all the girls. However, the choice of one particular girl to do nothing is not sitting well with Tay Tay! She considered this girl to be one of her closest friends and absolutely expected that she would jump to her defense.

Look for this particular Squad Member to quietly fade from the entourage for her lack of loyalty.

    Lena Dunham. She is an advocate for women’s rights and feminism. With Taylor calling this song misogynistic, she would expect Dunham to feel the same and call him out for it.

    I’m not in a squad, but if my friends are on the receiving end of a verbal assault, without provocation, I would defend them.

    Not sure on the answer to this blind but the timing of this “controversy” is a little too convenient for me. Are we really supposed to believe that Kanye and Taylor just happened to start feuding right when his album drops and a few days before the Grammys? This is nothing more than self promotion by the fame hungry. This grab for attention isn’t over either and I bet it’s going to play out at the Grammys

    Gurl please. So “squad” is the term du jour for having friends? Seems like such a feeble attempt to surround yourself with so-called friends who may or may not have an agenda. The whole thing seems very juvenile, so no, I would not jump in to defend her, unless I needed some publicity of my own. It reminds me of a cheer-leading squad, where Swift is the head cheer-leader, and don’t you forget it.

    However, a great friend will always tell the truth. Maybe friend didn’t show loyalty because Taylor really did say that to mutual friend. Maybe Kanye isn’t lying after all but because he is crazy she can get away with lying .

    Possible clue: “sitting well” because Karlie was sitting near the Kardashian Klan with Olivier at the show.

    A “squad” after the high school years seems quite silly & true friends don’t need to consult with publicists to figure out whether to defend their best friends publicly, unless it concerns morally reprehensible behavior, which is on Kanye, not Taylor, here. This is all a strategic publicity stunt by Kanye West for his droll clothing line & so-called music & to dispel gay rumors, since negative PR seems to be his forte & this will create sympathy PR for Taylor again.

    My first instinct is Kendall Jenner, but I remember late last year that Kendall had a birthday dinner and even though Taylor was in town, she was glaringly absent. Tabloids said Taylor wasn’t invited. Said they were “frenemies”.

    this whole “Squad defending each other” crap is so highscool. She’s MUCH closer 30 years old than she is to high school age. She needs to learn stop with the victim playing and stop expecting other people to “defend her” or lose their place in her “Squad”. The reality is that she’s manipulating these women (all less rich & famous & younger than her) through the threat of losing her “friendship”.

      This is Karlie Kloss. She was clearly dancing to the song and lyrics of the song at the show. The clues are jumping which they did at their vogue photoshoot and defense which she does a lot of boxing to.
      I’m a loyal friend so i would definitely defend my friend from a * like kanye.
