Fashion Zombie

[Blind Gossip] If you’ve ever been backstage at a fashion show, you know that it is often pure chaos. People are running around and bumping into each other, barking orders and making last-minute adjustments to clothing, hair, makeup, etc.

However, something odd happened at this one show with this one well-known male “fashion designer.”

At one point when we busiest, he just walked away and sat down and stared straight ahead. He didn’t make eye contact with anyone. Didn’t say a word. Wasn’t praying or anything. Just sort of catatonic like a zombie. Everyone left him alone. A few minutes later he snapped out of it and got back to work. Weird and a little scary.

    have you seen Kanye’s collection? it’s like he raided Kim’s Closet Of Bad Taste (remember when she used to dress well?) I’d be a zombie too if I had to present that drek

    I think he is schizophrenic. My cousin suffers from schizophrenia and does that zone out thing when he doesn’t take his medication. The medication makes him act “normal”

    This is a mediation technique. When I feel overwhelmed and on the verge on panic I take ten minutes and put my head in my hands and concentrate on my breathing. Some people stare ahead in a relax ie zombie state. People thinking he is weird, crazy, or strung out should try it. It really curbed my panic attacks.

    Kanye. He got overwhelmed and just zoned out. Once he calmed down he was able to get going again.

    I don’t know who this is, but I don’t think it’s a big deal. Sounds like good emotional management on his part, with someone trying to make it out to be more than it is.

    Male designer who is having mental issues right now…. Yeezy… Kanye West.. Hope he gets better and makes it thru what he is personally battling…

    Kanye West, he’s on antipsychotic medication. The side effects for some of these meds can leave you fatigued and spaced out at least he was able to snap out of it.

    He obviously has mental problems. I think it’d be best for him to just go away to a rehab center and try to work things out with himself. Mental health issues can develop into much more troubling ones if not treated in time. I sort of feel sorry for him to be honest.

    He’s either mind numbed from prescription meds for his mental issues, or scared to death that this might be his last hurrah.
    He’s become dead weight and a scandal liability to Kim & Co. and worn out his 15 minutes an hour ago.

    Maybe meds? Some of them can have some heavy duty side effects. Personal opinions on Kanye aside mental illness is terrible & I wouldn’t wish that on anyone.

    Just somehow related to his mental health issues. I’m starting to feel bad for the guy.

    He was probably trying to center himself, and meditate a bit to get calm in a sea of idiocy and irrevelence. Smart thing that we should all do on occasion. “Fashion” and all the associated hype is drivel.

    Old age mixed with meds/booze. That or his collar was on too tight and restricted oxygen to his brain.

    I want to say Kanye West, mostly because fashion designer is in quotes and I sure don’t believe his work is fashion plus that seems like something he would do.

    I’m sure after his recent hospital stay for his mental health they’ve prescribed him with some mood stabilizers, it’s hit or miss with meds so maybe they’re affecting him? I know sometimes they make you blank out

    The quotes around fashion designer make me think this is Kanye.

    If he is on rx meds for the recent incident, he may simply be dealing with side effects. I’ve heard people say their antidepressants make them feel like a zombie.

      Good catch … I didn’t pay attention to the quotes. I’m not a mental health professional, but I think the bipolar drugs are the ones that make you feel like a zombie.

      As someone who’s been on meds for Bipolar Disorder, the meds in and of themselves shouldn’t make you a zombie.

      It’s crucial to get the dosage amount correct AND to take them as prescribed.

      Been there, struggled to grope for reality when posse depends on sickness for nailing a profit. (In my case less financial than legal, I’m mos’ def’ lower class)

      i’m with you there. sometimes, just *knowing* you have to remove yourself from the situation – even if only for a moment – is a true victory. we’re always taught to just soldier on no matter what!
