Desperately Seeking Bromance

[Blind Gossip] What’s behind the sudden rash of stories about how this movie star is now BFFs with this actor and having a bromance with that actor?

He’s trying to build up his own group of guys he can make movies with, like the way Ben and Matt [Affleck and Damon] or George and Brad [Clooney and Pitt] or James and Seth [Franco and Rogen] do it. You know, like writing and producing and acting together with the same group on a regular basis.

He’s always worked alone. Maybe he just never saw a need to be part of a group. He’s older now so making new friends doesn’t come naturally to him. That’s why he’s so awkward about it and why it all feels so forced.

    I don’t know the answer to this. While googling, I learned that Samuel L. Jackson wants to be in a movie with Laurence Fishburne. I also saw a headline saying that Tom Hanks successfully trolled Owen Wilson on Twitter. These would make cute bromance couples.

    I don’t know that it gets harder to make friends. Maybe it does for some, but I am 39 (and digging my heels in for 15 years) and love meeting people. At this age, many women have had similar experiences, so it’s nice to connect.

    Jake G. has really been pushing the Ryan Reynolds bromance. He has had a hard time though, losing Heath to an overdose, Matthew MConaughey to fatherhood and Lance Armstrong to scandal. You’re never too old to make new friends!!

    Jake Gyllenhaal and Ryan Reynolds. Jake is an AMAZING ACTOR but a lot of the roles he’s gotten recently have been sociopaths. He’s even mentioned that it’s hard for him to leave some of the character traits behind him once he’s not shooting.

    I also notice he works with the same directors as well. So it wouldn’t be a stretch to work with the same actors too.
