Deflate The Face

[Lainey Gossip] There’s all kinds of work to be done before starting on a movie. In addition to preparing for the role, many roles require the actor to get into shape physically. Your first assumption here is to think that means working out. Most of the time. Some of the time it’s about your face. And this is not just the women.

Before starting on his upcoming blockbuster, producers were concerned after test shots that he looked too unnatural and puffy. They asked him, rather directly, to have his fillers dissolved. It’s an action movie after all, he can’t be looking dewy and plump like he’s at the spa while he’s doing all those action sequences. In order to speed up the process he first switched over to a detox diet to lean out and then he went back to the doctor to deflate his face. In my opinion he’s really better off for it. So, just in case you didn’t already know, in Hollywood, the actors are doing it and OVER doing it just as much as the actresses.

    I assumed Tom Cruise or Brad Pitt right off the bat but now that I’m seeing Ben Affleck guesses I could definitely see that

    The “in my opinion” sounds like a reference to his heated interview with Matt Lauer over the use of pharmaceuticals.

    I think this is Brad Pitt. Only because his face looked less plump and he looked slimmer at the Globes.

    Looks like the move is either World War Z or War Machine.

    Clue : Block buster (though he’s over rated) and saw some pictures of him last year and his cheeks had plumped right out and thought it looked strange.

    Tom Cruise has been looking very puffy in all his recent films – Jack Reacher and The Mummy. Clear he’s had work done, and even though it’s fairly decent he looks pretty puffy for a normal guy.

    Tom Cruise for the next Mummy movie coming out in June. You can tell by looking at his face in the movie trailer.

    I don’t think this is Ben. He looks like he might need one. This either Tom Cruise, Brad Pitt, or Johnny Depp. All three of them have had work done.

    My guess is Ben Affleck. Like Brad Pitt, he looked weird and obviously puffy for a long time after he started getting work done. I’ll take scruffy naturally aged sexiness any day over this plastic puffery.

    Most obvious plastic surgery is of course Mickey Rourke, but I think Tom Cruise is a close second.

    If he deflated, it could be for The Mummy or for American Made.

    I’m guessing this is Ben Affleck (for whatever the next Batman is called) since he’s had his face worked on before, and “deflate” could be a clue referring to how he went off about Tom Brady’s “Deflategate” controversy.

    Brad Pitt, he looked much better and natural at the last awards but I’m not sure what action film he’s hired for so could be wrong, maybe Tom Cruise, I think they both had fillers over the past year.

    Optional: not sure but can’t wait to see the guesses.

    Brad Pitt? Maybe his newly lean face is due to detoxing and getting fillers taken out more than grief doing the trick? I kind of think it’s from grief, though.

    Otherwise, my guess would be Tom Cruise. He looks too pampered these days. If he has another action movie to shoot, maybe his directors agreed with me and told him to lose the woodchuck look.

    I am going to assume this is Tom Cruise, because of his overly-puffy face of late and the fact that it is an “action” movie, the only type he does these days.

    Tom Cruise. I wondered about Brad Pitt initially since his face is less paunchy, but that’s likely more stress-related weight loss. Plus, I don’t think Brad has done an action movie for a while.

      I’d like to change my answer to Tom Cruise and The Mummy. I think Ben’s weird, still-puffy face is about 75% alcohol and 25% fillers and Botox.

    Tom Cruise — he was looking like the Pillsbury dough boy for a while. Definitely better off without the fillers.

    Dont want to guess this one bc it’s probably some boring comic turn movie thing, and Im so tired of those, i wouldnt even illegally download they’re so boring and over.

    Must be Ben Affleck. He clearly had fillers for Live by Night – I am guessing to hide years of hard partying and to look the age the character was supposed to be (20’s-30’s, I believe). I prefer rugged Ben with some scruff anyway.

      John Cusack is a great answer! Good catch on the clues.
      He’s been looking VERY awkward and plastic the last couple years. Seems like he’s been trying to retain his youthful look. He needs to let it go, he can’t be Lloyd Dobbler forever.

      He is currently filming (or about to film) a thriller called MISFORTUNE.

      good guess on Affleck. A clue being deflate for him being a Boston guy as in the cheating Patriots.
