two faces 2[Blind Gossip] Since this actor has a history of problems with substance abuse, it’s easy for people to take any behavior and twist it into a warning sign that something is amiss with him.

While he is stressed, he is actually sober right now. That thing he does where he talks to himself is him rehearsing his lines. He’s done it for years.

Sometimes he’ll just recite his own lines. Sometimes he will do both parts of a conversation between two people, including the blocking and the hand gestures. So although he looks crazy, he’s actually just working.

We’ll tell you what to look for if you are concerned about his sobriety. Look at his body. When he is using, he tends to get very, very thin. That’s what happened when he was struggling while starring on that famous TV show.

    I talk to myself all the time, especially in high stress situations. I can imagine that it would be helpful when working as an actor.

    Do I talk to myself? All the time. I find it very therapeutic. Never in public though – that’s just crazy. 😉

    Charlie Sheen . It is better to go to your secret hideaway and do this . You save on Shrink bills and you avoid saying hurtful things and gettting yourself in trouble. Some people are taciturn cursed or blessed but most human beings do this.

    Matthew Perry was always my favourite Friends character. Hope he’s ok. For some reason, he just seems so vulnerable to me.

    It’s Matthew Perry. I read an article about people seeing him talking to himself in London. Makes sense because he’s in a theatre production now, where you can’t just have the cameras stop and redo a scene because you forgot your lines. Plus, he’s a little on the chunky side now…NOT thin.

    Matthew Perry. I remember how skinny he got during Friends when he was really drugged out. And then when he sobered up while still on the show, he gained weight.

    He’s gotten heavy lately, so he must be sober.

    He’s also been in a play in, I think London? Don’t remember where, but it was his excuse for not being at the Friends “reunion”. So that explains why he’s always practicing his lines.

    Matthew Perry. I think most people talk or mumble to themselves at some point in their lives. And a lot of people sing to themselves, too. It’s too bad every public moment of a celebrity’s life can be caught and posted online within a millisecond.

    Is this Charlie Sheen? Too bad more actors don’t practice his work method for his “reel life”. He is a very believable actor. It’s his “real life” that he’s messed up with.

    Of course I talk to myself. When I’m in the store and I’m running down the list in my head to make sure I got everything, I run through it while counting on my fingers. Someone doesn’t like it? Gonna have to be their problem.

    His facial expressions look more “actory” than drunk and he has a belly (he got really skinny on Friends)

    And absolutely, mostly in the car (which I fake to look like I might be singing) and I practice different accents (usually Belfast or something that falls between Australian and New Zealand) and it is usually doing fake news reports, interviews or I accept awards (always Phoebe Buffay style – “Live from New York…”)

      Matthew Perry got really bloated looking during his drug days on Friends. Definitely not “thin.”

      He got very skinny when he was poppin pills and drinking, and would gain the weight back when he got sober. His weight fluctuated throughout Friends due to relapsing and sobering up.

      If you’ve seen more than one season of “Friends” then you would know that he was thin at multiple points over its 10-year run. But yeah, go ahead and comment without doing research first.
