[Blind Gossip] This real estate acquisition is being portrayed as a joint purchase by an unmarried celebrity couple.

Not exactly.

They may say it’s “our property” because they picked it out together or because they will both live there, but residency and ownership are two different things. It was purchased via an L.L.C. which has one name on it, so only one of them has an actual financial and legal claim to the property. If they get married down the road, they can always modify the LLC ownership to include the other party. My best guess is that they are saying right now that it was a joint purchase for publicity reasons.

We can’t believe that one of them would say that they bought the home together because they wanted the publicity!

Just kidding. That’s par for the course for her.

BG Note: LLC = Limited Liability Company. It’s basically a business structure for tax and legal purposes. It is frequently used by high net worth individuals for the purpose of purchasing property.

    JLo and Arod. LLC in her name only as she’s selling (maybe sold by now) her Manhattan penthouse for just under twice what this place cost.. and no… unlikely they’ll marry- maybe just get engaged in perpetuity until the inevitable crash and burn

    I do this stuff for a living. Glad to see people being smart about investment property ownership. And if this is going to be ARod’s primary home, there is a good tax reasons he’d want to own the LLC 100% himself. Not that a $250k capital gains tax exclusion matters much for a high value property.

Also, I don’t understand with the huge penthouse she’s trying to sell @ $27mil which has much more space to add more bedrooms that they wouldn’t just move into that place since they each have 2 children so a home for 6 is necessary. This place has 3 bedrooms and 4 1/2 baths so pretty small based on her other homes.

      Oh he might marry her because this is all for show and obviously he really cares about her money and the publicity of being a power couple. She can get even get even bigger where he peaked in his heyday. She is worth about 60-80 mil more than he is. I just know it is PR because look at his ‘type’ which is NOT J Lo. He likes those wiry skinny buff biceps bag of bones who look like a male cyclist with boob jobs. Look at his ex wife. Madonna etc etc. Her booty and girl curves are not his thing

      Sorry to post again but it is them on a 15 million dollar NYC apt. He was also supposedly letting HER fund a batting line for women in his name? Or he didn’t want it to be for women and she did? Doesn’t HE have the money? The guy was huge or is he just a cheapskate and/or using J Lo. if he is guess it is a fair turn. She is always using everyone and everything to make her look hot and important. Yawn.

    These two have a bunch of common projects to promote together (Mary Magdalene, Don’t Worry, He Won’t Get Far on Foot and the upcoming documentary Dominion), and every single thing they do is publicity conscious.
