The Villain Plan

[Blind Gossip] This actress has done such a turnaround in the past few weeks that it’s giving us (Snidely) whiplash!

Her most recent ex is also a film star, and she was treating him very badly. Those around her were counseling her that divorce is a war and that she needed to destroy him to get what she wanted. They encouraged her to isolate him and villainize him to the public and to her kids. She did exactly that for many months.

Now, all of a sudden, she is all about kindness and compassion and embracing him back into the family fold. What the heck happened?

The first thing most people think is that she didn’t like the bad publicity that was coming her way. Her plan to make him look like the evil one backfired on her, and she needed to cease her attack on him to save her own reputation.

That was one factor… but not the only factor!

The second factor was a series of communications she had with a different ex-husband. Yes, she’s had more than one. He reminded her of his own strained relationships with his children from various relationships. He told her that what she was doing was wrong.

He told her that if she really cared about the kids she would do everything she could to make sure that they remained close to their father so they didn’t end up like [one of his estranged kids].

She took his advice.

Thus, the third factor was her recent invitation for her more recent ex to spend quality time with them in a foreign location. Not with her, but with the kids going back and forth between her and the actor. The arrangement worked out so well – and the kids were so happy – that they will be doing something similar again in the future.

The villain plan is out. The Daddy plan is in. Everybody is much happier now. For the sake of the kids, we hope they can maintain this civility.

    Being a loving parent and being a control freak are not mutually exclusive. For some people, that is how they manifest their love. I don’t think Brad and Angie really wanted to get married, but did so to appease their children, and her lashing out at him was her brain making a course correction without acknowledging her own faults. I doubt that it will ever be smooth sailing, because of the dynamics with the eldest two, despite claims that the family is fully integrated.

    it was destroying her kids well being with being nasty about the divorce and keeping them from their dad… let them have a good relationship and they need to get along…

    Probably will go smoothly, the main issue is the kids and if that’s being worked out, all other issues will fall in place. It’s not like either is strapped for cash and looking to get a big payday. Glad it’s being handled responsibly for the sake of the kids

    I think that publicly, the divorce will go through much quieter, even if it’s still strained. The publicity was extremely damaging, and neither want their careers or children to be further affected.

    This is Angelina . Quite frankly, I am surprise it took her so long to come to her senses.
    First, she is a child of a bad divorce, she knows she has scars from it.
    Second, the kids need their father, including Maddox and Pax (who need to be sat down and given a talking to).
    Third, this is a cool guy. Yes he has his faults but overall there is no doubt this guy is a good father.

    Do what I have been saying all along, fire the lawyers and sit down with this man and work out a peaceful…

    I don’t think it will go smoothly if Angelina doesn’t want to share custody because of her career ambitions. If they can agree on shared custody, then it could go smoothly. Her turn around still doesn’t excuse her earlier behavior. She is still a wench for that.

    It might go more smoothly now. I’m actually shocked how she portrays herself as a saint and yet she would do this to her kids. Also twice as shocked that BBT is the one that talked some sense into her. Hopefully this will stick as its in the kids best interests to have a healthy relationship with their father.

      I’m not sure why exactly but BBT spends a lot of time in my hometown in Alabama… it’s usually where he plays with his band so I’m not sure if one of the members are from there. Anyway, several of my family and friends have meet him multiple times and say he’s one of the coolest & most laid back guys they’ve ever met. I knew this blind was ab him but totally forgot that BBT that everyone here has met and BBT that married AJ were the same person. Glad he talked some sense into her!

      I agree it was terrible thing to do, but the sad part is that people actually did believe it at first. I’ve never bought in to her “earth mother” routine (I knew that psycho was still in there hiding from the public), but my mother sure did believe it. She was all “Angie loves those kids more than anything. She’ll do anything to protect them.” So I’m sure a lot of other people thought the same thing until more facts came out.

      Exactly. An expose referred to her as “scary smart” about creating her image and manipulating the press to her advantage. If she had simply stopped caring or the relash had run its course, shed never have had that statement released to the press.

      She was mad and hurt. He probably had an affair that went too far and felt humiliated. I doubt the Sony leak hepled, it dampened her image.

    Possibly, if she understands now that the kids need Brad and are happier with him in their lives. Happy kids = happy home life.
    Why didn’t they just set up house this way while they were married? It might have helped them to keep their marriage going. Sounds like a pretty sane plan to me if you have the money to carry it out.

      I agree, all points to them. Thing is though who are the folks around her counseling her to villainies Brad etc? Just her lawyers? Her brother? One she is sort of known not to have a lot of reminds, two, WHY would anyone say that demonizing Brad Pitt would be a good thing? BAD ADVICE. Especially given all her own secrets and new re-vamping of her career as ambassador/potential politician v just actress into cutting etc from way back.
