    Not surprised. I’ve heard plenty of whispers that Miles Teller is a jerk who thinks very, very highly of himself. (I don’t see the appeal. He practically oozes sliminess.) That said, it must have taken an incredible amount of intensity for him to play the role he did in Whiplash, and I can see him being more focused on getting the role right than bothering to make friends with his co-workers.

      JK Simmons sounded less-than-enthusiastic about working with him–and Simmons sounds as mellow an actor as is.

      Gotta be this. I know he’s supposed to be a jerk, but I’m a huge fan. He’s a great actor and he was so great in Whiplash. What a great movie that was.

      Agreed – great guess. And Teller was absolutely riveting in Whiplash (I loved that movie!) but I’ve heard many times since then that he’s his own biggest fan and not easy to work with. Pity!
