More Gwyneth Than Angelina

angelina-gwyneth[Blind Gossip] We’ve been telling you for a while now that this very famous and pretty film actress and her husband are gearing up for a divorce.

The liquidation of their real estate portfolio has been a significant sticking point, but they are now quietly slashing the prices, even on their favorite properties.

Again, this divorce is not at all obvious from the outside. The husband lives in a house very close by, so their separation has been easy on their child/ren.  They will occasionally do shopping trips for his house or or jointly attend events for their child/ren to make sure they look like a happy couple. It is important to her that they get photographed on those occasions. It is important to her to make it look like everything is fine. It is important to her that she look like the perfect wife and mother.

If you are looking for an ugly divorce, you are going to be disappointed. This will be a pretty divorce. Definitely more Gwyneth than Angelina!

    I don’t know when they will announce their divorce. Julia keeps her private life pretty private, so maybe she will just do a matter of fact press release timed to come out when some other big Hollywood news comes out to overshadow it.

    Julia Roberts and Danny Moder. Some news escaped about it when they listed the Hawaii property but they squelched it within a week and had their photo taken together at a kid’s sporting event. I’m glad their divorce is going to be more like Paltrow’s because it will be less traumatic on the children. I’ve been really disappointed in Jolie. She’s been vindictive and public in ways she didn’t have to be.

    Maybe they should announce now while Jolie is banging so many pots and pans.

    When they’ll announce? Depends. This seems like the one time Ms. Attention Hog WON’T be looking for a spotlight.
    Does she have any major projects coming up? If she’s getting award buzz for anything, then they will have to wait until awards season is over.
    If not (which is what I suspect), then they’ll quietly announce around the inauguration, when the press is busy with actual news. Then she’ll lay low during awards season.

    I have no idea when they will announce this split – given her nature it could never be ‘announced’ but will probably be on a Friday when no one is paying attention.

      I think it’s more that once the paperwork is filed it becomes a public record at a courthouse and word tends to leak out. So celebs want to put spin on it, damage control, etc.
