The Triple Threat’s Pipeline

triple threat 1[Blind Gossip] This cute blonde triple threat originally left that TV show because she was absolutely convinced that she was poised to be a big star.

She thought that her biggest worry would be be choosing between a starring role in a film, heading up her own TV series, or recording a hit album and then going on a big tour.

She did a TV movie… and then the pipeline dried up.

She is technically talented, but she is just lacking that star quality.

Number of projects in production? Zero. Number of projects in development? Zero.

That’s why she is back on the small screen. Back to that TV competition show. Not as a performer, either.

    I thought Juliana Hough was great in the movie Safe Haven, starring opposite Josh Duhamel. I think she’s a good actress. She should make more movies like that. She could make a career out of it.

    No, will NEVER “make it big.” Has ZERO “star quality.”

    And a HORRIBLE judge on the show. Just horrible………..

    Maybe Hallmark will hire her for some dumb movie of the week!?!?

    I originally thought of the actress Diana Agron who played Quinn in Glee… cause didn’t she leave that show before it ended to do a couple of films? Then stopped seeing her. But I don’t watch any of the DWTS shows, so I’ll have to take your word.

    I agree with the majority. This is about Julianne Hough. I like her, but she’s probably too drama free to make it as a big star. She’s talented, beautiful and has a body to die for!

    more like a double threat – she can’t act. She was critically assailed for her wooden acting in Footloose where she was comically bad in that role.
    Its good she can sing and dance – bc that can pay the bills..

    I’d said Miley and The Voice, but now that I’m seeing so many Julianne Hough answers that’s just as viable. Could be either. Both scenarios totally fit.

    Julianne Hough. She was a dud in Rock of Ages. She was cute in Grease Live but co stars Keke Palmer and Vanessa Hudgens were soooo much better and actually have acting talent. She is a good dancer but she has no real insight as a judge. DWTS should give the older and more experienced dancers like Tony Dovalani a chance to judge. Oh wait , he’s not a cute blonde!!

    Instead of sticking to what she is truly talented, I think she made the mistake of many young stars: she began to believe her own press and spread her talent too thin. By the time Grease aired, pop culture reached a saturation point of her and she lost the charisma and edge she had when she emerged as a star on Dancing with the Stars. Her best bet is to disappear off the radar for a while then emerge with a comeback story. Pop culture LOVES a comeback story.

    Most of the clues pointed to Emily Kinney (she act, sings and did a tv movie in lifetime) But she never wanted to leave TWD. She was devastated when she got killed in the show that interview in Talking Dead was hard to watch because she was crying and Kirkman was a**hole didn’t give a sh!t to her. So I have to think another cute “triple threat actress” to this blind..

    Changing from Miley to Julianne. Just saw that she is going back as judge this season.

    I like her and I liked her movie. I would go see her before Miley.

    Three names come to mind: Julianne Hough, Diana Agron and Erin Andrews. But none of them really fits perfectly.
    Agron has worked a lot, including directing, since leaving Glee and has no competition show background. Andrews co-hosts DWTS and is still a sportscaster. I find no evidence of her trying to sing.
    Julianne Hough is rumored to be coming back to DWTS, but she’s done quite a bit of TV/movies, incl playing Sandy this year on Grease Live. She did try country music, so I’ll guess her.

    Definitely Miley. I’ve long thought she was “lacking that star quality.” She’s entitled and annoying and more known for her love life and scandalous antics now than she is for her talent, which is just sad. Her return to television on The Voice doesn’t make me want to tune in at all.

    Julianne Hough on Dancing with the Stars. I agree that as talented as she is as a dancer she’s just okay at acting and singing and she doesn’t really stand out in movies. Some really famous actors are mediocre at best, but have a charm and star quality that jumps from the screen.

    Katherine Heigl. Toxic personality and her mother are a big problem and she definitely doesn’t have “it” for the big screen. She’s a small screen character actor.

    I think her best bet is starring in a big budget oscar-bait musical that comes out around the holidays (think: les miserables) or to get into a franchise. She would be great in one of the live action disney musicals they seem to be pumping out lately. She should also try out for pitch perfect 3.

    Optional: She’s pretty and talented, but she tried to jump from C-List reality show dancer to A-list actress and musician and didn’t land the move. She should consider working her way up in smaller steps (Broadway show, TV comedy, etc.) and develop a finer taste for good publicity vs. bad (Crazy Eyes Halloween costume, dating Seacrest, and starring in a Tom Cruise musical all falling in the later category).

    I think she went overboard being ridiculous when she broke up with Liam. She is a decent singer, but instead of focusing on that, she tried to see how many tongue-sticking-out pictures she could take.

    What TV movie was she in though? She is currently filming with Woody Allen for his Amazon series. So it isn’t like everything is dried up.

    She said when she quit, “a lot of exciting stuff coming.” And nothing came. I really liked her in the remake of footloose, because she’s likeable and pretty, but she’s no Kevin Bacon.

    No, Rock of Ages was a disaster of a flop and Safe Haven was forgettable and Footloose. She has had such high profile chances and she just can’t cut it. She was good in Grease, but Vanessa Hudgens stole the show. She should try and get some cred in an indie movie.

    She’s never going to be a superstar. She should have stayed on the show as a pro as she was much more liked then versus now as a judge. She does lack star quality, even though she probably is not going to see that. She’s not a very strong singer either even though she’s been put in two musicals. Her best skill is dancing and if she wants to stay around she needs to find something in that area.

    I think her ship sailed once her and Seacrast ended their contractual faux mance, personally…at least in terms did major stardom in films, etc. I’m sure she can find some other means to maintain her celebrity though. Hosting gigs, musicals, etc.

UGH…liked her as a pro dancer, dislike her as a judge. .drives me crazy when she continually looks at herself in the monitor fussing with her hair and flashing whatever parts that she bought into the camera,
