Roommate Talks About The Visitors

[Blind Gossip] Controversy has always swirled around this superstar film actor as far as his sexuality is concerned. Given his publicity-driven relationships, multiple marriages, and odd behavior, there has been much speculation about whether he is gay, bisexual, straight, or even asexual.

Let’s give you some more food for thought!

Early in his career – specifically in the 1980s – he was part of a film that included several other big-name male actors. This was before his really big breakout film. His roommate during filming was another actor who also went on to become very famous.

[The roommate] told us that says that they shared living quarters while they were filming. He said that there was a constant stream of women visitors to and from [Actor’s] bed.

    He is straight but is controlled by Scientology on he is allowed to fall in love with.

    Tom Cruise, who, leaving aside his personal life off camera, I find attractive.
    As for his sexuality, I have no idea, I hope however he gets laid as often as he wants, with whomever he wants, in the manner he wants, in other words I hope his sex life is good because he still has a lot of living to do, his personal life looks messy from the outside. He has been an atrocious father to Suri, there is no getting past that, ever. So although I think he is in good shape for his age, he doesn’t…

      Optional: he was catholic before he became scientologist, so his sexual orientation at this point was probably very confused/denial homosexual.

    It’s talking about Tom Cruise in The Outsiders. Bear in mind that Cruise stayed in character and didn’t shower during the entire shoot. He also had one of his caps removed to give him a gap-toothed took.

    If true, the story still doesn’t say much about his sexuality. At that age, I slept with girls, too.

    How did I put it together? The similar link “Bag of Chips” refers to Charlize Theron, who famously dated and dumped Sean Penn.

      How would I categorize the actor’s sexual orientation? Gay. But back then, he was trying to sleep with as many women as he could to try to (1) make himself be attracted to women or (2) maintain the illusion that he was straight so he wouldn’t ruin his career.

      Definitely this. The guy is controlling and obsessive as hell about his image, so it shouldn’t surprise snybody that he keeps it all tightly locked in a closet. Wound very tight, that one.

Big breakout role – Top Gun. And as far as the description of the multiple marriages, publicity driven relationships, sexuality speculation, odd behavior and such – that’s all Tom Cruise to a T. Who knows what this guy’s deal is.

      Actually, his breakout role was Risky Business. I’m leaning towards Taps with Sean Penn as the roommate, because the similar blind seems to be about Charlize Theron. The only thing bugging me is that I don’t really see Sean Penn being so open with that kind of info. The Outsiders is my 2nd choice. ?

    Everyone knows Tom is gay. He’s been trying to hide it since he was a teen. He was going to become a Catholic priest before he took up acting.
    I’m sure Tom has brainwashed himself into thinking the space god Zenu, at the behest of his boyfriend David Miscavage, has cured him.
    After all, only a straight man would hold a casting call for a wife, right?

    This is to divert attention away from Tom dumping Suri. I wonder what they’ve got on Rob.

    Optional: I don’t know, but just because someone preferred one type of partner when they were 18, doesn’t mean they still did 10, 20, or 30 years later. I heard an interview with Brian May of Queen and he mentioned that he roomed with Freddie Mercury in the band’s early days of touring. He said that Freddie went to bed with women and lots of them and only later came out as gay.

    Tom Cruise. This could be Taps or The Outsiders. I’ll go with Rob Lowe during The Outsiders. I’m not sure, maybe he’s asexual now. His first wife complained about their lack of sex life which makes sense if he’s gay or maybe just not that interested. Perhaps he was bisexual but asexual now. 🙂

    Obviously Tom Cruise and maybe an actor from the OUTSIDERS who would go on to more (Patrick Swayze, Ralph Macchio, C. Thomas Howell?) take your pick. The thing with Cruise is that if you read up on Scientology it tells you you can not be gay. It is an ‘aberration’ or and if you re-program yourself and live a straight life, you will BECOME straight. This explains a lot about the view towards it in general. If he is Bi, Gay, straight, I don’t know… but he is a big Scientologist! Their POSTER…

      I worked at the Hotel where the cast stayed during the filming of Taps. I have been told that the guys were all very competitive for female attention particularly Tim Hutton. Never heard any gossip about Cruise.

    Optional: I think he likes the ladies (or used to) and that he’s not gay. However, two things. One, I think he is sterile and two, something is definitely off where it comes to his love/sex life – it could very well have something to do with his scifreakology.

    How would I categorize his sexuality: His first wife said he was like a monk…I would have to go toward asexual, but not 100% naturally, more from self discipline. I think at least he and Nicole had a “typical” (whatever that is) marriage/sex life up until the end when the church manipulated him into a divorce. I don’t think they would have done Eye’s Wide Shut if not.

    Tom Cruise, and for some reason, I keep thinking about the movie Taps. Or The Outsiders. Several other actors in each of those who went on to be famous.

    I have no idea what the deal is with him. He seems to be an overall hot mess, though. Back then he wasn’t associated with scientology, and wasn’t famous. Maybe he wasn’t sure. Maybe he is bisexual? Who knows?

    This has gotta be The Outsiders. I characterize his sexuality as Opportunistic. Meaning, he likes women enough, but would perhaps be with either depending on how it would benefit him. Cruise has always seemed kind of asexual to me actually, and was probably with a lot of women back then so that the other actors wouldn’t get suspicious.

      I agree with this guess, based on the similar blind. I’ve never understood the gay rumors about him, but his behavior is definitely weird. I thought he and Nicole Kidman were for real, but never that BS with Katie Holmes.

      not sure that proves anything. I know gay men who slept with a string of women when they were younger to prove something to themselves and others. in the end they were still gay and still are today.

      Agree with ivyleaguer. Female visitors does not guarantee they were intimate. He could have been trying to market himself as a romeo to hide his sexuality or he was testing the hetero waters to see if he liked fish.
