woman mirror 2[Blind Gossip] This model has been famous for many years and was married to a big celebrity. However, for someone so beautiful and famous, she has surprisingly few followers on social media.

She doesn’t understand why more people don’t follow her on Twitter. We tried to tell her that her Twitter feed is boring as hell because it’s just one long sales pitch for all her products and she just repeats herself over and over. She insists that she is the celebrity, gave this “people buy my products because they want to be me” speech, and says that selling products is the whole point of social media. Whatever.

    Going with Christie Brinkley. As much as she doesn’t look it (she looks 40 ‘naturally’ even though she’s 60+), she’s of an age that probably doesn’t ‘get’ the use of social media. I’ve lost respect for her due to her inability to be honest.

    If it is Christie Brinkley, I’ve been following her on FB and Twitter for years and she posts alot of stuff other than her products–pictures, other causes, etc. She also posts magazine spreads and interviews and always thanks them for including her.

    I’m with the Christie Brinkley guesses, vs. Cindy Crawford. The picture shows a blonde woman, which Christie is, and Cindy is not. And while both were married to celebs (Christie to Billie Joel, and Cindy to Richard Gere for like, a blink of an eye) only Christie could be considered truly “boring.” She’s kind of vapid, to put it mildly.

    Either Cindy Crawford or Christy Brinkley. Pic looks more like Christy.
    Cindy and Richard Gere were once married.
    Christy and Billy Joel were once married.

    Both ladies have beauty products lines. I think Cindy might have had hers longer.

    While I agree she is right on principle (social media is for selling), you still have to market yourself correctly. To that end, I find her vapid, boring and not particularly attractive, primarily due to personality. Do I want to be you? No. Do I care to follow your infomercial of a Twitter? No, again.

    For celebs, social media is more about selling the brand rather than specific products. However, when specific products are sold, the “show, don’t tell” approach would seem to be more effective.

    Elle McPhearson. She’s always “on brand” I heard her on the radio once and when asked what made a good outfit, she said something like “good underwear” because she sells undies. Blugh

    Thinking this could be Christy Brinkley. Doesn’t she have some kind of skin care line? The big celebrity was Billy Joel. Or, possibly this is Cindy Crawford, once married to Richard Gere. Both of these women have had face work done, especially Brinkley, with that gawd awful joker grin she always sports.

      Checked out both of their Twitter accounts and am going with Brinkley. Crawford’s is not much better, tons of pics of her in her prime. But I have to say Cindy has a certain masculine look to her now, especially the eyes. Still attractive, but “enhanced.”

    I’m going with Christie Brinkley (big celebrity being Billy Joel). A friend of mine met her in the Hamptons and said she’s a total beeyatch. She seems very one-dimensional.

      Yikes! And only 16k twitter followers. I can see why though, she’s selling products but not personality. Which is probably why Christy Turlington and Nikki Taylor were so much more popular with the public than she was (I still love them, thanks 90s).

      IMO There are way too many people to follow, if you want to end up in my feed and aren’t involved with hockey then you need to be amusing. Hockey or hilarity, that’s all I ask.

      This was my first guess, too. Not that I have any reason to think so, since I don’t follow her twitter. She just seems a bit desperate for a meal ticket.

    Every tweet is a sales pitch, and every other tweet is an exact duplicate.

    Sounds like she needs a social media expert to clue her in.
