She is absolutely convinced that her athletic boyfriend is going to propose on Valentine’s Day!

Banish any thoughts you have about a thoughtful, romantic proposal orchestrated by him. She wants it her way! To that end, her friends have been deployed to drop handy little hints to him about what a “perfect” proposal would look like.

Her friends told him that the perfect proposal would be very romantic, private, on the beach, with champagne and a big, round-cut diamond.

We don’t know if her hints are working. Actually, he’s always been a little tricky to pin down, so it will be interesting to see if this materializes his way, her way… or not at all!

Russell Wilson just proposed to Ciara! And she said YES!

We don’t know exactly when the proposal occurred, but Ciara was hoping for a Valentine’s Day (which was three weeks ago) proposal.

We know that she got the ring. It’s huge. We’ll wait to hear her tell the story to see if the rest happened or if he chose to do something else.

Does this mean that whole “abstinence” thing is now kaput?

Yes, it was on a beach! Ciara just posted a photo to her Twitter account, and her rep just released some details.

“The biggest surprise was that Russell proposed to his new fiancée at the romantic private ‘Honeymoon Beach’ located on North Island,” says the singer’s rep.

North Island is a resort located in Seychelles (in the Indian Ocean off the coast of East Africa). Here’s the pic. The dot of light in the middle is the big ring. We don’t see champagne, but maybe it’s in the cooler?

    From the way the blind is written it gives the impression that woman is quite controlling and super lame for dropping hints on what type of proposal she wants, so my guess is Taylor Swift and Kelvin Harris.Seriously what is he thinking, if he doesn’t get it right she’ll shame him in a diss song. She is so fake and her image and life are so tightly controlled how can anyone in it even breathe. UGH she gives me the impression that behind the fake nice lies a catty vindictive self centred…

    But seeing This is It made me think of Dannii minogue with the dude from nip tuck. I know Kylie Minogue is really into her man and is saying he’s the one.

    But in all honesty, it could be any girlie celebrity- I saw this all the time in college and even now with just regular people.

    My husband did it perfectly. At home, alone, the two of us just laying side by side when he looked over and said, “Will you marry me?”. Perfect. I hate attention and a public proposal would have mortified me.

      That’s exactly how mine proposed!! I thought mine was the only one who did it this casually- but perfect for me because I would have died had he proposed in public. And I also wanted to pick out my own ring- was so afraid he would pick something super ugly that I’d then have to wear. My only regret was not marrying in the tropics but he knew his parents wouldn’t come and he thought it would destroy his mom. I complied but wish I hadn’t.

    I’d always fantasized about a proposal on a cruise ship at sunset. However, just a few days after I met this tall bearded dude at a Mensa dance, he took me to dinner. Over the Weinerschnitzel, he suddenly started singing, “Can I Have This Dance (for the rest of my life).” I gasped “Yes.” It was the perfect proposal, and it’s lasted 30 years now.

    I’m waaaay to late for this guess but:
    1. Taylor Swift and Calvin Harris (she looks like the kind of girl who likes to have her breaths planned, so I guess this would be the best answer)
    2. Demi and Wilmer (she, on the contrary, doesn’t seem too much of a control freak, plus she doesn’t have many friends, so this is less likely)

    My idea of a perfect proposal is however my man chooses to express his feelings. Of all the aspects of getting down the aisle, it’s really the only thing he gets to handle without input (Lord knows they get little to no input on the wedding itself), so it should be left up to him. If you love him, it doesn’t matter how it’s presented. That he presented the rest of his life to you should be enough.

    Perfect proposal would be absolutely no cheesiness. No roses or candles, no audience or on-lookers, no poems or anything. Just the love of my life and a big f***ing ring.

    Perfect Proposal: Someone who tells me that they will support me in my efforts to change the world into a kinder place! And who brings good chocolate. Everything else, no problem. It can be anywhere, he doesn’t have to get down on his knee, none of that stuff if he doesn’t want to. But chocolate and a promise of social action? Great!

    Possible clue: She attended the premiere of “This is it.” Could be Demi but let’s be real no one expects Wilmer to come up with a thoughtful, romantic anything. Could be Taylor but Calvin is clearly on a tight leash because he likes his goods intact. Everything she & they do is tightly controlled by her team, it’s realistic to assume so will their “proposal.”

    Optional: IMO There is nothing romantic about proposing on Valentine’s Day. Or any other holiday…

    I think it’s either:

    Madonna and Sean Penn (rumored to be dating again as of last month), materialistic clues and him being ‘hard to pin down’ fit, plus she seems controlling.

    Or:

    Miley Cyrus and Liam Hemsworth. None of the clues really fit but the timing works.

      I don’t know if it’s true, but I read Miley and Liam are already re-engaged (or at least that she’s wearing the ring). Lady Gaga has been engaged since Christmas 2014. I like the Demi Lovata/Wilmer Valderrama guess; she has waited long enough!
