While everybody else is busy celebrating the last few weeks of summer, this attractive celebrity couple is planning to quietly tie the knot in a surprise ceremony.
It’s not a total surprise. After all, they are engaged and at least one of them has talked about the wedding before (although it was discussed as if the date was father out). And some of the friends and family who are going to be there suspect that it’s not a regular party because of the couple’s insistence that they attend. However, for the most part, everyone is keeping it a secret.
The wedding will happen before the first autumn leaf hits the ground.

We found out in July 2015 that Carpenter and Avett were planning to get secretly married. However, we didn’t know the dates or the location. No one did, including the couple’s family.
So, after Jennifer Aniston held her own surprise wedding on August 5, 2015, we decided to go ahead and run the Carpenter blind item, believing that her surprise wedding was also going to take place soon.
As it turns out, Carpenter actually got married the same week as Aniston!
The first week of August 2015, Carpenter and Avett flew to Los Angeles for a CBS press conference for Limitless. They were there for more than a press conference. Jennifer Carpenter and Seth Avett got married in a courthouse in the Los Angeles area. With all the fuss around the Aniston wedding, nobody even knew that Carpenter had pulled off her own secret marriage!
They continued to keep the secret for months. Then they finally had a wedding over Memorial Day weekend 2016. Most people logically assumed that they also got married Memorial Day weekend.
However, now you know that Carpenter and Avett actually got MARRIED in August 2015 in Los Angeles, and simply held the WEDDING in May 2016 in North Carolina!

The North Carolina ceremony was “small and private,” says a source close to the parents of 1-year-old son Isaac. “They’re incredibly happy to be married.”

While they kept the wedding under wraps, Avett hinted at the happy occasion onstage. At a June 3 concert in Baltimore, an onlooker said “Seth flashed his ring to the crowd!”
Carpenter was previously married to Dexter’s Michael C. Hall. Avett was also previously married.
