SOLVED and UPDATED!
[Blind Gossip] This is a first. This TV celebrity is actually being PAID to go to rehab!
So who is paying him? Is his rich extended family footing the bill because they sincerely want to see him get well? No. These people don’t like paying for ANYTHING.
What happened was this new facility just opened its doors to the public a month ago and needed a publicity boost. Who better to give it that boost than a celebrity whose entire circle of acquaintances collects paychecks for just living and breathing and creating drama?
He didn’t simply decide that it was finally time for him to get help. And he certainly wasn’t going to pay tens of thousands of dollars to do so at some obscure facility that no one has ever heard of. So he cut a deal.
This is about story lines and ratings and money. He is the subject of a story line (which has you sympathizing with a female member of the cast). He creates a little more drama just as the new TV season begins for a little ratings boost. And, he gets a free stay in rehab, plus cash incentives for each mention of the facility in the future.

SOLVED!
Celebrity: Scott Disick
TV Show: Keeping Up With The Kardashians
Scott Disick – who is the father of Kourtney Kardashian’s three children – is being PAID to go to rehab!
Scott Disick did not choose Rythmia Life Advancement Center in Costa Rica because it is the best possible place for him to get sober. Scott Disick chose the facility because they are paying him and the Kardashian family to promote their facility.
The deal with was brokered by Kris Jenner. Kris is completely money-centered and has very strict rules for managing the family business. She does not allow the family to pay for anything when they can get it for free or get paid for using it. This applies to clothing, products, vacations… and rehab!
Kris Jenner spent weeks trying to negotiate a deal with high-end facilities (mostly in the Southern California area). However, all licensed and accredited facilities in the United States have strict operating procedures. NONE would comp Disick’s stay, NONE would agree to acknowledge Disick as a patient, and NONE would agree to pay any money to be promoted by The Kardashians. Thus, Kris was forced to go with a non-U.S. facility to make a deal.
When celebrities go to rehab, they do not announce where they are going, and their facility of choice does not announce that the celebrity is a patient. Celebrities (and their team) want their stay to be private, and a U.S. facility cannot legally violate patient confidentiality.
In the case of Scott Disick, though, you may have noticed that the Costa Rican facility issued a press release announcing their opening, media sources were sent the name and location and amenities of the facility, and the Kardashian PR machine began discussing the unique treatment Disick would be receiving at the facility… all at the same time! This is a paid-for promotion.
While most high-end rehab facilities cost $30-60,000 per month, Disick will be paying nothing for his stay. In addition, he and the Kardashians are being paid for talking about the facility and its unorthodox treatment. The entire deal is worth over $500,000.
Congratulations to Abingdon for being first with the correct answer!

UPDATE!
Charles Johnston, director of addiction treatment at Rythmia Life Advancement Center, just confessed that “Scott Disick is an official paid celebrity spokesperson for Rythmia.”
InTouch Magazine will run the admission in their print addition available on newsstands tomorrow. “Scott knows he needs help, but being paid for it is probably what motivated him the most.”
