BlindGossip – In the case of a couple where there is a considerable age difference, the older half usually controls the younger half. That’s not the case with this couple. The older half is getting a little desperate about maintaining their career, and has started taking advice from the younger half about everything, from wardrobe to roles to public relations. However, this couple’s strategy is backfiring on them. Magazines, talk shows, and producers are starting to balk at featuring the older one. Why? Because the younger one is so obnoxiously vocal and litigious, they fear that any wrong move they make will result in the young one blaming them and creating a very public spectacle.
No, it’s NOT Michael Douglas and Catherine Zeta Jones.
SOLVED!
It’s Ashton Kutcher and Demi Moore! Source: BG
In the beginning of their relationship, Demi thought that Ashton’s appeal to younger audience could help her get her mojo back. Then he started getting all litigious whenever the media ran an article accusing him of – gasp! – infidelity. From ndtv.com in September 2010:
Hollywood heartthrob Ashton Kutcher has threatened to take Star magazine to court for defamation after they published a report alleging that the actor is cheating on his wife Demi Moore.
Star Magazine had reported in it’s latest edition that an eyewitness saw Kutcher kissing a woman that was not his wife of five years.
Star claims the star’s marriage is “in danger of falling apart” after the “bombshell news.” It also quotes another source saying, “All along, Demi was told it would never work, that he’s going to cheat. When she finds out that it happened, she’ll be devastated.”
The ‘What Happens In Vegas’ star is angry over the infidelity reports and has threatened to sue the magazine.
“Star magazine you don’t get to stand behind ‘freedom of the press’ when you are writing fiction. I think Star magazine calling me a ‘cheater’ qualifies as defamation of character. I hope my lawyer agrees,” tweeted the 32-year-old.
Kutcher and Moore had grabbed headlines when they married in 2005 owing to the fact that the actress is 15 years older than her husband.
Meanwhile Moore showed her support by immediately re-Tweeting her husband’s messages to her followers.
Using your social media influence is a double-edged sword. Your fans may rally to your defense, but everything you do and say is magnified to the point where industry types are cautious about getting involved with you.
Tyler Jones was first with the correct answer. Congratulations!
BTW, did you catch the Not/pic clue? Michael Douglas and Chatherine Zeta-Jones aren’t just another May-December relationship. Demi Moore and Michael Douglas starred together in Disclosure. Good for you, APerry, for picking up on that!
