lies pants on fire[Blind Gossip] This athlete is vehement that he did not do anything that could be construed as cheating. However, one of his former teammates claims that he knows differently.

Is it true? Yes. He really is no different from [Lance] Armstrong or [Barry] Bonds. Says one thing and does another to keep a clean image. It’s almost funny to watch him attack anyone who is accusing him. I’m not the only person on [the team] who knows that the accusations are true.

Will he sue? Nah. Too many people know too much. He can’t take the risk of any of us being hauled in for depositions. He’ll just pay people off to STFU.

Will the league discipline him? Don’t know but doubt it. They don’t want to deal with another scandal.

    I heard about the Al Jazeera documentary; now there’s an impartial outside investigator! Then I heard the accuser, bizarrely, take back everything he said. Now Ace is right on time with the explanation: a payoff for silence. I’m completely disgusted. From now on, I have no more time for Peyton Manning.

    Even if they do investigate it, the HGH testing/rules didn’t go into effect in the NFL til 2014, way after his injury/recovery, so technically it wasn’t illegal…

    Not surprised, & I’m a Denver resident & fan. I saw his ESPN interview & knew he was lying–when asked about the HGH he nodded as he denied the charges. Anytime someone nods when they’re denying something (unless they’re from a country like Greece where nodding can mean no), they’re lying.
    Yes the NFL should investigate, & if it was Tom Brady they would. And I say that despising Brady’s guts, but it’s true.

    The popular guess will be Peyton Manning but it doesn’t fit. He’s always been very good and the same size. He’s not like Bonds who all of a sudden became a hulk. You can usually tell when someone is juicing. They suddenly excel and get bulky.

    It is utterly hysterical how much Peyton Manning taking actual performance-enhancing drugs has been downplayed by the national media, when Tom Brady was dragged through the mud over “possible general awareness” of deflated footballs. Anyway…

    This has got to be about Peyton Manning of the Denver Broncos formerly of the Indianapolis Colts. Since this is his last year in the league I doubt anything will happen. And no I doubt he will sue and I doubt the league will do anything but discredit the report. I don’t have a clue to who the former teammate is.

    Not totally certain about this one, but I *think* it’s Peyton Manning of the Denver Broncos. Not sure about any of the other questions/answers, but I saw an article suggesting his wife played a role in getting the goods for him. He always seemed to have a clean-cut image … a la Lance Armstrong.

Don’t know who the teammate is but I do think the league should investigate. Investigation was good enough for baseball. Why should football be any different? And I hope cheaters are FOREVER BANNED from their respective halls of fame. Pete Rose has a lifetime ban for doing a whole lot less than drugs.

    For the sake of this one Blind, I will say Peyton Manning.
    These guys cannot go 10 years playing 16+ games a year and NOT need “help”.
    Go watch North Dallas Forty. When first screened to professional football players, they said it wasn’t the best movie about professional football, it was the ONLY movie about professional football.

    For former teammate, I will say either Marvin Harrison, Reggie Wayne or Jeff Saturday.

    Peyton Manning, regarding the accusations in the Al Jazeera documentary. Of course it’s true. All of them are doping – if the top athletes (like Armstrong and Bonds) have been doing it for years, it means that nobody else could abstain from doping if they wanted to have a shot at competing with them. It’s not rocket science.
    Oh, and the “another scandal” is a clue to the NFL. Nothing but scandals there these days.

    Yes, the league should investigate. I’m a purist when it comes to something like this. An athlete should not ever use any kind of performance-enhancing drugs. If he/she can’t perform well without them, then they should go into some other profession.

      Um…no. Tom is a strict vegan and very mindful of his health, which is why he is still elite at 38. Just because the word “cheater” is used…you people who read headlines and don’t understand the agenda of the NFL, which is to turn attention to the real problem i.e. concussions and domestic violence immediately think Pats, and it’s all made up hogwash. This is the golden boy, the one and done 9 times in the playoffs…horse faced fraud that is Pey (PAY) Ton Manning.

      It’s Peyton. Tom Brady was accused and scrutinized but he didn’t attack his accuser(s) in any way. Peyton, on the other hand, went right after that Al Jazeed person and even though he recanted his claims, that doesn’t mean he wasn’t telling the truth. It only means 1)he does not have the money to fight back in court and prove his assertions, or 2) he doesn’t have evidence or proof to back up his claims, or both. The NFL will not go after Peyton.
