SF 49er Is Coming Out

san francisco 49ers[Media Take Out] As early as this week a top member of the San Francisco 49ers team will come out the closet as gay.

The player we’re told has already spoken to a few of the higher ups on the team and wants to begin lobbying for the squad to draft the newly out college football player Michael Sam.

We’re in a new day of football y’all. Congrats to everyone for having the courage to be who they really are.

Colin Kaepernick? Regardless, good for them for being comfortable enough to come out and be proud of their sexuality.

I mean I could careless if a player is gay, as long as they are able to play the game and live their life.

      Colin or Vernon.

    • ToadKisser says

Too douchey to just be compensating for latent homosexuality – I think that’s gotta be real, genuine douchiness.

    “A top member”…

Hmm…as a life-long Niners fan, it’s hard to say who is “top”. My guesses would be Colin Kaepernick, Vernon Davis, or Patrick Willis.

I agree scumby. Let’s just bypass all of this bullshit and start a Gay NFL League. i’m so tired of this shit.

      • ToadKisser says

Great point. I mean, what with all of…ZERO openly gay players in the league, and some vague speculation there might be ONE or even TWO by next season! Yep, they’re practically taking over! Let those theoretical two players start their own league, where they can do whatever perverted stuff they want like wear tight pants and lie on top of each other in piles on the ground, and slap each other on the butt. Oh wait…

Well said ToadKisser! Everyone is entitled to their opinions, but ignorance really isn’t bliss, guys. Anyway, Go Niners!

Your lack of understanding of discrimination is equaled by your lack of understanding of grammar and spelling.

I have a hard time believing someone deep in their NFL career would come out right now, but I would love to be wrong. No clue who it would be though.

Congrats to Michael Sam! Times are changing.

  4. ravenglass says

I believe there were some rumours about Michael Crabtree being gay & possibly coming out.

Although I would love for it to be Chris Culliver. But he “don’t do the gays.”

” Congrats to everyone for having the courage to be who they really are.” Congrats and good luck, boy, cause i have read some comments under a post about an atlete that has came out and i am HORRIFIED that there still such dumb , obtuse and ignorant people in the world. REally, i couldn’t believe it. NOt in Russia, no, in Usa.

Colin Kaepernick? There are a lot of rumors about him apparently.

My other guess would be Vernon Davis because he said in an interview that the NFL will have the first openly gay athlete. Maybe he was referring to himself? Or maybe to Colin?

Either way, I don’t care! 49ers are my team! 😀 I support the players as long as they aren’t breaking the law or being douchebags.

  7. Bromance1979 says

    Vernon Davis?

Whoever it is, good for them! Ignore people like Chris Culliver (49ers Cornerback), who is not okay with openly gay football players and said, “I don’t do that. No, we don’t got no gay people on the team, they gotta get up out of here if they do.”

  8. auntmidgee says

Yes! Michael Sam is awesome and so is this guy to lobby for drafting Sam. It’ll be a loss for the gossip world when we finally get to a place where there isn’t a need to hide. I’ll take that loss so we can focus on the real slime in Hollywood. Being gay shouldn’t be whispered about in the same breath as wife-beaters, cokeheads, pedophiles or cheaters.

  9. WhoDatGirl says

Rumors are swirling right now about Colin Kaepernick getting all cozy with a gay DJ at a Super Bowl party…stands to reason it’s him.

  10. LiamForeman says

My guess is on Colin Kaepernick. It was highly rumored he wanted to come out last year. I guess now that Sam has come out and the backlash isn’t that bad and mostly supportive, he was itching to come out first and be the actual first openly gay NFL player.

“Ya’ll” in the blind is totally a clue. I think it’s Michael Crabtree since he went to Texas Tech.

  12. slantrhyme says

As the proud mom of two gay kids and GSA leader for dozens more, I love whoever this is. Love, love, love, love, love!

  13. bec215 says

Sam is a tremendous example of courage and I hope others are inspired.

Much like the military, most men I talk to who are under age 40 say “If he’s good at what he does and helps us win the game/fight, I don’t care”.

The more players come out, the faster the attention will return to the team’s performance – where the focus should be. No gay or lesbian person I know wants that label to precede their name or job title.

  14. lily is my puppy says

Somebody going off to the NFL came out just yesterday or the day before. Don’t remember his name.

  15. CoCoJoe says

The real brave guy is the one who came out BEFORE being drafted. I hope that doesn’t backfire on him. Men are such babies about homosexuality. I can hardly wait until the leagues get over this irrational fear!

  16. Gossip_is_not_Truth says

I will bet anyone $1,000 this doesn’t happen.

BTW, I live in the SF Bay Area and we’ve been hearing something like this for at least the last 30 years or so.

  17. nicole says

Ugh, I knew this was going to happen. First and foremost, kudos to him for coming out. But you know that he’s going to get drafted on his sexuality before his actually talent. The position he plays has quite a few pro-bowlers on the niners already. Despite his abilities he won’t play a game for the niners when he’s going up against Aldon and Justin Smith. Great way to get higher on the draft, though. Secondly, the supposed gay player is definitely not Kaepernick.

  18. superbity says

Thinking Kaepernick. I’m a current Mizzou student but I’m from California and am a diehard Niners fan. Dear god PLEASE let this be true and let Michael Sam be drafted by the Niners. I would be the happiest girl on the planet!!!

    • nicole says

Why? Why would this make you happy as a fan? He’s not that great of a player and his position is covered already. He would add nothing to the team’s defense and drafting him early over better players would be a mistake.
