Egomaniac Will Ignore This Race Issue

white black[Blind Gossip] When you have a big ensemble film, the director makes his cuts based on the way the scenes impact the storyline, right?

Usually. But not in the case of this hit film!

The first actress – who has won many big awards during her long acting career – did not know the director. She put in an amazing performance… but her part was almost entirely cut out of the film.

The second performer hadn’t acted in years. However, she is close friends with the director, has a huge ego, and really wants to win an acting award. So she begged the director for the part, then dropped a project upon which many people’s livelihood was dependent to take this role. It was completely selfish on her part. Almost all of her scenes were left intact, even though some weren’t that great and didn’t contribute much to the storyline.

So, were these two members of the cast really treated so differently based on their roles? Or was it because of their relationship with the director? Or was it because of their race? People close to the production say it was definitely the latter. Will the second performer acknowledge that? Hell no! She loves to stir up race issues… but only when it benefits her and her enormous ego.

Jane Fonda, Oprah Winfrey, The Butler, Lee Daniels. Disgusting….just like the phoney Swiss Handbag story…

    • HairyLegs says

Remember that other story from a coupla yrs ago about her showing up at some closed chichi store in Paris dressed like a slob and they wouldn’t let her in? She immediately branded them racists too! Oprah LOVES to play the race card!!!!!

      • BRUSHFIRE97 says

Yea and she also immediately bought the store and shut it down. So I see why Jane Fonda is keeping quiet. But, I love Jane and she should get her shine too.

      • AKat says

That was Hermes in Paris. And they wouldn’t let her in because they were closed and setting up for a private event. Of course she immediately played the race card, just like she did with the handbag story. It gets her publicity.

      • La Llorona says

*Sigh* Things like that do happen in Europe though and I know this because I’ve traveled there. Oprah is annoying for a surplus of other reasons. But she has a right to call out what she deems as racism.

      • wendy hood says

Playing the race card is why she has a career – that’s a large part of her role in being in the media. Its also why Al Sharpton and Jesse Jackson replaced MLK Jr. Black vs white issues are terrific distractions as to the reality of things. Remember, MLK was shot only after he woke up and started talking about class and less about race. Elites done want to unite anyone, and uniting the lower class is their worst nightmare.

Oprah for the big ego actress

Vanessa Redgrave for the actress cut out

    • ivyleaguer says

I agree with your list… but really cutting out the greatest actor on the planet for Oprah????? why why why?

      • wendy hood says

This is the decade of skin color running deeper than qualifications, reason, or talent. Its been a long time coming, Obama getting elected gave the green light that the plan was finally going to be running at full blast. Note all the new black tv shows, movies, and greater placement in advertisements (and also note what kind of roles they play – usually they are the ones educating whitey, or making a white person look buffoonish). All these sorts of things are used in this current cult of personality culture to keep the races separate, mad at each other, and refusal to unite despite differences. Works quite well, to be honest. If I were trying to enslave and brainwash an entire planet, Id do the same exact thing.

Really seems like Oprahs role was left intact more out of her relationship with the director than anything to do with race. Thought both of them were great in the film!!

I have to say, I don’t think it’s fair to say that Oprah “loves to stir up race issues”, race is still unfortunately an issue and a big one at that. If she is asked about her take on a a race-related issue or topic and relays a personal experience…how is that stirring up the race issue? It’s a cop out when people casually say so-and-so is “playing the race card” because it’s all about context and to dismiss a person’s opinions or experiences they choose to convey on race-related issues as simply “playing the race card” is ridiculous, short-sighted and in some cases just plain ignorant.

    • nolabelle says

Well, you are accurate if this is their personal experience(s). But in the case of Miss Oprah, I believe her when she talks of such experiences in her early years, growing up. But do not believe her once she became a powerhouse media person, multi-millionaire, and then later billionaire. Her early talk shows were genuine, authentic on a diversity of issues appealing to most people. Once she reached a level of success that she felt, I noticed a change in her attitudes, her topics, her shows, and yes her stirring racial tensions by playing the race card, exactly. She lost credibility to me then and still does now. I am so sorry to see Tyler Perry try to resurrect her pathetic network with his great multi-talent, crew of talent and shows. He deserves much much better than her.

    • cea922 says

I agree and I also think that this situation is due more to her long standing friendship with Daniels than race.

  10. Bill Simmons says

It’s Fonda and Oprah, but it should be stated that Jane Fonda has appeared in about as many movies as Oprah for the last 20 years. She is also an extremely controversial casting considering her past and who she was playing. It’s not like this is Meryl Streep.

    • La Llorona says

I’m sure Fonda WANTS to be Meryl Streep and is annoyed that her role won’t put her in the same league as Meryl’s did with “The Iron Lady”. But that was a bio dedicated to Margaret Thatcher. Fonda had a bit role in a movie that was about a Black Butler. And like you’ve said, she’s had a 20 year start over Oprah, who’s movie acting credits start in the 80s and up until “The Butler”, ended in the 90s. She’s hardly giving her competition.

Lee Daniels’ name is in the title because another studio threatened legal action, claiming that they own the rights to the title “The Butler.”

They could have done several other options without putting his name in the title- bet buddy Oprah set him up to do that.
