Ungrateful Bollywood Star

bollywood[Mid Day] Now here’s some gossip from Mumbai about a mega star from Bollywood:

This veteran actor is known for his relationships in the industry and has ruled Bollywood for decades. He has starred in some of the biggest hits of his career helmed by a top director who passed away last year. The auteur was noted for his romantic films.

A production company invited this mega star to attend a felicitation ceremony for the director. Interestingly, the star put forward a long list of demands. The production house was stunned over the mega bucks that the actor asked for, especially keeping in mind the relationship that the late director and he shared.

In fact, the director was also responsible in giving the star a fresh lease of life when he was down and out.

The famous song by the late Mehmood seems apt for this situation!

BG Note: A Felicitation Ceremony is a Celebration of Notable Achievement/s.

I’m going with the guess from the BI source site…

    Amitabh Bachchan.

We have friends from Mumbai who say there have long been rumours of his massive EGO.

Thanks Ace for keeping this site interesting and global!

oh cool! are you guys gonna start posting bollywood blinds now? I trust you guys more then the media over there.
My guess is between SRK or Amitabh but Srk is not considered veteran so Amitabh B.

  3. WaitLemmeGuess says

Pretty sure the director is Yash Chopra. Not sure who the actor is. Irrfan Khan from Life of Pi?

  4. Bunny Rabbit says

I will say the brilliant Yash Chopra for the director, and Amitabh Bachchan for the actor. Amitabh comes across as a two-faced, arrogant jerk to me.

  5. Kekskuchen says

    the director is yash chopra.
a lot of his movies are with shah rukh khan so I guess it’s him. but i hate that thought

  6. Kerengende says

The director would have been (I think) Yash Chopra…
And wow, I spelled Bachchan wrong. Good times, good times.

  7. sweetangelz77 says

Shah Rukh Khan is the mega star (SRK is called “King Khan” which fits with the blinds claim that the actor has ruled Bollywood for decades), top director who passed away is Yash Raj Chopra. Chopra was famous for his romantic films, and Khan starred in his last directed movie (the movie was Jab Tak Hai Jaan).

  8. Kerengende says

I don’t recall Shahrukh being ‘down and out’ but I do remember Amitabh having some trouble once.

  9. Bunny Rabbit says

It’s not Shahrukh Khan. Shahrukh Khan has had uninterrupted success since his career took off in the 90s. Amitabh Bachchan became a star back in the 1970s thanks to Yash Chopra and his films Deewar, Kabhie Kabhi and Silsila. He suffered a major career slump in the mid 1980s, partly due to his secretly incendiary views on Indian politics. You young ‘uns seem to forget that!

And oh the song is most likely, “Baap ho ya bhaiyya, sabse bada rupaiyya!” Rough translation: Whether it is my father or my brother, money trumps them all.

    • lamiadolcevita says

      yup.. thats the song..
and amitabh bacchan and mehmood were ssaid to be close to each other in those times…

  11. timesink says

Yes, it cannot possibly be SRK because he cannot do anything wrong. –sigh– It must be Amitabh Bachchan because he had money troubles, so probably feels he needs to get whatever he can when he can.

New Bollywood blind item. Who was Sharukh married to in his best past life? Answ: Ms. Timesink! Yay!
