[Blind Gossip] This one is both sad and scary. A close friend of a troubled celebrity tells us that they are actually very happy that the celeb’s child/ren didn’t live with them.
The celeb had supposedly told the friend that, “If I can’t have [the child/ren], no one can.” The friend is sure that this was an ominous warning that the results could have been even more tragic.

The first thing I thought of when she killed the dog was thank God her kids were taken away.

This is about MINDY MCCREADY, who just committed suicide via gunshot wound to the head. She also shot her own dog. She had two children but had no custody of either one. Had they been in the home with her, she might have killed them too.
In her state of mind at the time, I’m sure she thought she was taking her boyfriend’s dog with her to be with him. It is fortunate her father had DFACS take the children. He reported her earlier this month for not caring for them (or herself) properly and b/c she was drinking and taking pills again. Tragic end to a tragic life. The older child’s father is seeking custody of his son. Hopefully there’s someone responsible left to raise the younger son. Poor babies.
Well that could depend on DSS/DFACS. Generally a biological relative is to be available for custody if there is no other parent/ parent doesn’t want the child (I don’t understand how any parent could honest to god do that, but there was a woman who gave birth to her son and just left him in toilet about two years ago. He was found with Hypothermia and was taken to a hospital, nursed back to health and adopted.) Zayne is going to come down to which grand parent wants to take him on or uncle or aunt. More than likely it could be Mindy’s parents that get Zayne. Zander will more than likely automatically be given to his father because he’s his child. It really comes down to how state laws are laid out.

I hope whoever this blind is about is stopped before they can do anything drastic and hurt anyone.
I can assure you that the mother isn’t a threat to the children anymore. Unfortunately, that’s because she killed herself yesterday.

The celebrity, although in all honesty I’d never even heard of her before the suicide news broke out, sounds like Mindy McCready. And gosh, I think anyone who heard about her shooting her dog before shooting herself feels the same way…one wonders what would have happened if the kids had been home, too.
So sad. I had only recently discovered Mindy when watching reruns of celebrity rehab late last year. What a shame. I agree, it’s a scary thouught what might have happened to those poor kids.

Police dept issued a statement today though that she was NOT a suspect in the boyfriend’s death, even though rumors swirled that she was.

The children are alive and protected,but they lost their mother.And the baby lost the father too.I doubt they are okay,mainly the older child.They are safe,but not okay…i wonder how the 6 y.o kid will react to the mother’s death.That’s a tragic situation,so,nobody is okay.:(

Mindy McCready – She was institutionalized on Feb 6 and at the same time the kids had been remanded to social services. They were still with social services when she killed herself and the dog.

I’m going with Britney Spears for this one. No real insight other than she is known to be nuts and doesn’t have custody of her kids. To try and sound smart, I’m also going to say that the picture is in B&W. Her ex-husband, Kevin Federline, who has custody has children who are white and some who are black.
Britney Spears has had custody of her sons for quite some time now, not Kevin Federline. She has been known to suffer from a some kind of mental disorder, not known to be “nuts”. Wow.
Edit: I actually believe they have joint custody of their sons. But, they seem to remain with her the majority of the time.

Mindy McCready. I had the same thought when I heard she killed her dog before herself. It’s horrible to think what could have happened if she still had her sons with her. She was obviously in a desperate state and literally had lost everything she felt she finally had gotten over her problems to get. It is sad though that even though she was suffering through the loss of her boyfriend that she couldn’t see she still had 2 beautiful children to live for.

Good afternoon! First time poster here, long time lurker.

It seems to be past tense “didn’t” have her children (they are in foster care as of early Feb). Mindy McCready shot her dog prior to shooting herself on the same porch her boyfriend completed same/similiar act a month ago. That action is very telling of sense of possession which goes with “can’t have ‘em no one will”.
Tragic? Yes. I feel for her family and sons. This woman has multiple problems, drugs and alcohol the least of them to be frank. Personality issues/disorder was apparent by her actions in the last 14 months. I’m sorry that society allowed someone obviously in deep mental anguish to not recieve the help she needed. Her family and friends it seems did their very best, even the court system. The mental health facility just did their “duty” and nothing more. Shame. Shame.

I believe she put the kids in foster care before she went to rehab again earlier this month. I can understand why she shot the dog actually. In her sad way she didn’t want the dog to be alone and uncared for and to be with her and her boyfriend. So tragic.

She even tried to kill herself when she was pregnant, i read in one of the articles. She shot her dog dead then herself.

She was apparently under investigation for his death because her story didn’t quite add up.
Thank god those boys weren’t with her.
