[BlindGossip] There’s no denying that this actor is very talented. However, in this town, talent will only take you so far. There’s a good reason that our actor’s been getting a lot more face time and screen time and attention this season than the rest of his castmates. It’s because our actor hit the old casting couch with the show’s producer.
Even though the overt favoritism is causing dissension among the ranks, the producer just can’t stop giving his honey more screen time and parading him around at various industry events like a prized poodle. Most people outside the show haven’t made the personal connection between the actor and the producer yet. Perhaps it’s because there is such a significant age difference between the two. Or, perhaps it’s because the actor has explicitly stated in interviews that he is straight. Or, perhaps it’s because the producer is supposed to be getting married.

I’m going to guess Ryan Murphy and Mark Salling from Glee. Puck has had alot more face time it seems to me this season, Ryan just announced his engagement in June of this year.

I thought it strange too that Puck is suddenly more featured. Although Criss is a darn good guess too. Maybe there’s more to it as to why Chord Overstreet disappeared from the show and is seemingly coming back in? Same thing with Jesse St James (sorry forgot his real name)…hang on isn’t he open about being in a relationship with Zachary Quinto? Oh this is all too confusing.

Just want to point out that just because he slept with the producer (RyMurph) doesn’t mean he (Darren) is gay. It means he slept with the producer of a hit show to get a part.

It’s kind of similar to that blind about some AI girl sleeping with a bunch of married producers to further her career. Actually it is VERY similar. People kept calling her a “homewrecker”. What about Criss (or whoever it is), is he a “homewrecker” too? Nope. People just feel sorry for him. Funny how that goes.
If this is a Glee Blind, there are really only three possible suspects. Max Adler, Matt Morrison, and Darren Criss. They’re the only three actors on the show to publicly declare their heterosexuality in interviews-plural, like the blind says.
Max Adler is out of the game right off the bat. He’s had a major decrease in screen time so far this season, not an increase.
Matt Morrison is out because there isn’t a significant age difference between him and any of the glee producers, including Ryan Murphy.
Which leaves us with Darren Criss, the most likely candidate from Glee.
My questions are, has he really had more face time than the other Glee kids, and does Ryan Murphy parade him around at events? The poodle description does fit him, along with all other aspects of this blind.
Replying to myself to add Chord Overstreet to the game. He did talk about being heterosexual at least once when he first came onto Glee, back when it was rumored that his character was Kurt’s future boyfriend.
He does and doesn’t fit certain aspects of this blind. While he hasn’t had an increase in screen time do to quitting, he will have an increase soon, since he’s coming back now for at least 7 episodes.
He doesn’t fit the blind because he’s not being paraded around by Ryan Murphy, so far as I can tell, but he certainly is young enough for the age difference to be called significant.
Conclusion: Darren is still the top Glee suspect.
I had forgotten Chord was talked up as being Kurt’s future boyfriend when he first started. And then Blaine came on the scene. I thought it strange at the time that Chord was being primed for a bigger role but then faded out. Did he do something to anger Murphy? After devouring the Glee Project and seeing Murphy in action I got the impression that he’s a total dictator and it’s his way or the highway. Peeve him off and you’re gone…do what he says and you’re in. If this aspect of the show is common knowledge…oops. I do think Chord is a dark horse too.
You know, there ARE other shows on television besides Glee.
I’m the last person that would normally guess Glee (I’ve never even seen a full episode), but the way the blind is carefully worded to avoid mentioning the producer’s sexuality makes me think that it’s an openly gay man. When I think of an openly gay, engaged television producer who works with an ensemble cast, it’s hard not to think of Ryan Murphy.

Darren Criss has always had a major(ish) role on the show, and Harry has never really had lines until this season. Watch tonight’s episode.

The Ryan Murphy – Darren Criss guess just doesn’t really make all that much sense. Darren Criss has been a fan favorite since his first episode – it’s just smart business to give him more screen time. However, the Harry Schum Jr. and Mark Sailing guesses are definitely intriguing.
Yeah, as much as this blind would seem to fit Darren Criss and Ryan Murphy, I don’t think that’s the case.
For one, up until last night’s episode, Blaine hasn’t had much screen-time this season. Mostly this was due to Darren filming a movie, but the point is, other members of the cast (Mark Salling and Harry Shum Jr come to mind) have been featured more than Darren.
Darren was featured a lot last season when he was still just a recurring guest star — he sells songs well and many fans took to Blaine. I don’t think he’s getting featured any more this year than he did last year.
If this was Glee, I would expect this blind to make some reference to music/songs/something like that. This is worded vaguely enough to where I can’t pick up on any significant clues one way or another.
I know I’m like a year late on this, but I just randomly stumbled across this blind item and it’s pretty hilarious to me that people were just assuming it was about Darren Criss and Ryan Murphy. At the beginning of season 3, Darren wasn’t getting extra screen time at all and it definitely wasn’t more than he was getting in his first season. Ryan himself said very early on that Darren’s character was a favorite of the network, most likely due to the fact that his songs sold really well and he was very popular amongst the fans. He didn’t need to do anything to get extra screen time/attention. Also, he definitely wasn’t being paraded around at industry events. Plus, as thatswanlady mentioned, I have a feeling that if this was about Glee, they would’ve made some mention of singing/music in the hint. There are so many shows this could be about. Not everything’s about Glee…
