Ridiculous guess. She only in her early 40′s.
In their defense, they probably didn’t know that. She’s the only other high profile celebrity musician with a sobriety problem that comes to mind.
Not very nice, Me Again. She was my first guess as well but until I checked, I wasn’t sure of her age either.

Chaka Khan just got custody of her grand kids due to the parents being on drugs. I think whoever would give custody would have checked her out first.
Natalie Cole. I saw her on some talk show a few days after Amy Winehouse died. While she looked fine she spoke a lot about how big of a struggle is was and still is to stay sober.

Chaka. My mother went to an event where Chaka performed and couldn’t remember any of her songs. My mother said that Chaka kept asking for the words and was acting really weird at the event.

oh good guess…certainly legendary and she’s been open about her issues. Fleetwood Mac could easily be described as a powerhouse. Their music still resonates even now.

my first thought was Natalie Cole too but the age doesn’t match. Maybe they are quoting the press release age rather than the birth certificate age.
I HATE TO HEAR IT… but it’s Chaka. She’s 58 and is the only “vocal powerhouse” I can think of that had a previous drug addiction.
I do consider Bonnie a powerhouse; she had been outspoken about former issues as well as below radar lately.
