And it’s more than a coincidence that, in most of her films, her leading man must proclaim their admiration of her beauty. She insists on it. And this is a girl who always gets her way.
As the years have passed, it’s been harder to compel people to provide her with constant reassurance of her physical beauty. So she recently went in for a full facelift. Plus the A is a reference to the Saturday Night Live Skit about all the A’s in Maggie Gyllenhaal and Peter Sarsgaard’s names.

totally agree! It has to be MAGGIE GYLLENHAAL. Babs does not have a new movie coming out. Maggie Gyllenhaal has that new vibrat*r movie coming out. Plus there was all that brouhaha over the scene in Batman where the joker calls her beautiful, and comic book fans were outraged because they didn’t think Maggie Gyllenhaal was pretty enough to be called beautiful. And there was a youtube video “that made Maggie Gyllenhaal cry” which mocked her for being the ugliest love interest and skewered that scene.
And Maggie’s PR people are always throwing out her “unconventional looks.” She even wrote in her bio that she isn’t like every other Hollywood starlet because “unlike other actresses,” Maggie Gyllenhaal grew up in a household that “valued intellectual pursuits over plastic surgery.” ohhhkayy. of course, that all changed when those pictures of her going to a plastic surgeon’s office while carrying an overnight bag came out. and a face lift makes sense given her moniker as “droopy face” or “sad turtle.” I think she decided to remedy her droopy face with a face lift even though she’s barely in her thirties. talk about irony – calling herself anti-plastic surgery and then getting a face lift at the age of 30!
And if the rumors about her and Peter Skarsgaard being on the rocks is true, girlfriend may have gone out and gotten a face lift to try and win him back.

I really hope it’s not her. I’ve always found her gorgeous and on my list of “welcome to join us for a threeway” celebs. She could use a sandwich or three (see nude scenes in Secretary) but pretty. Oh, Maggie… Where’s Jake to talk some sense into you?
Oh Cheshire Kitty dear – do you not know that Jake Gyllenhaal has had tons of work done too (google Jake Gyllenhaal nose job). He got a nose job, jaw implants and had major chemicals peels done (all his facial moles are gone). Plastic surgery just worked out better for Jake than his sister, Maggie (maybe all the family pressure to go to college rather than get plastic surgery back-fired and resulting in both Gyllenhaal kids totally overdoing the plastic surgery…. kind of sad because Jake was already good looking to begin with. But maybe folks who are already kind of good looking do better with plastic surgery (Angeline Jolie) as opposed to people getting a major overhaul (Tara Reid). If you look at pictures of Maggie starting out, it looks like she’s had two nose jobs, whereas Jake only had one. Maybe if it gets screwed up the first time around, it’s really hard to fix – again Tara Reid
I’m just not seeing Maggie G. as the answer to this one. She does not even remotely come across as someone who needs verbal reassurance and ego-stroking from her leading men. Nor is she iconic enough to demand as much from a costar.
Barbra Streisand, on the other hand, fits every bit of the blind, and has been previously noted for her rather silly obsession about her looks or perceived lack thereof. She has a notoriously fragile ego, and the links from previous posters have shown evidence of her “new” face. Barbra FTW.

Great dropped “A” and “funny” hints – well crafted, BG!! What seals it for me is she’s known to worry a lot about her looks, and I had read in the past that she made co-stars praise her beauty on film. For example,in 2 films that she actually DIRECTED: Nick Nolte in The Prince of Tides and Jeff Bridges in The Mirror has 2 Faces. Tx for the pics posted here; she really looks great including the neck work! Smart of her not to have touched her nose, as her voice might have been affected. And a smaller nose just wouldn’t be natural with her other features. I’m really happy for Babs! Must be tough to have such a truly gorgeous husband in that her and his beauty is probably always be compared. Has kept her humble, I suppose!
