desperate is a clue for Desperate Housewives and the dad is Kelsey Grammer.
This can’t be BAG. His kid is like 9 years old. No reason to “hand him off” to anyone. And I’ve only seen him in maybe one or two pics with his kid. If anything, I’ve seen more pics of him with Megan so he’s more likely trying to be seen as a doting husband.
I like the Mario Lopez guess for this. He’s all about himself and was the biggest womanizer before he got that chick knocked up. Now there are pics of him all over the place of him holding the baby and talking about how much he loves fatherhood. He went from man-* to father of the year practically overnight? Me thinks not!
I think we can safely rule out Charlie Sheen… No “doting dad” image there!

I like the BAG guess but do think this is someone with younger children…I know it says child but Jerry O’Connell is always bragging about being a dad and his girls did do a milk ad with mama Rebecca Romijn. You never see them out together….

BAG isn’t with his kid’s mother, and they don’t ever hang out, so I don’t think it’s him.
I don’t know, I didn’t take the part about handing the kid back to his Mother in the immediate sense. I read it as him using his time with his son as a photo op and nothing more.

It’s Kelsey Grammer. ‘Desperate’ refers to his soon to be ex-wife on the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills. He showed up on Letterman with his girlfriend holding his kids in her lap.

If the guy wants to milk his image of being a caring father, it means he already has the reputation and he wants to get more publicity for it. I don’t think Kelsey’s image is that of a caring father.

I don’t think it’s Kelsey sence he’s been in NY and she’s been in LA at least sence the summer. His new girl isn’t the mom so even if he does hand them off to her the blind says it’s mother. Also the blind makes it seem like he just has one kid and the Grammers have 2
That being said I can’t think of a tv star that just has one kid.

I agree this is Eddie Cibrian. He does a lot of TV work, and his sons are 7 and 3 years old. Here is the direct link to the info cited by wpolochick above that discusses his image overhaul.
