So, it’s reasonable to expect that an engagement ring would be forthcoming, right? Um, yes, but not to her. The engagement ring is going to his very special boyfriend, who has been forced to lurk in the shadows for several years now. Oh, our actress might get a ring too, but although the jewelry may be real, all involved are very clear that the hetero sentiment is totally fake. Yes, she knows all about the other guy, and she knows that she plays a distant second to him, but she also really loves how the fake relationship boosts her image and her income. We personally think that a three-stone ring would be most appropriate. Not to symbolize their pas, present and future love for each other, but to symbolize all three of the people in the relationship.

Zac and Vanessa or Hayden and Rachel…the Renee and Bradley Cooper fauxmance hasn’t been around long enough to go anything for Renee’s career. Plus she us a pretty big star on her own. Vanessa is more likely getting a career boost from being the girlfriend, and the boy in the shadows could be Lucas grabel. Though at this point I thunk efron gets more press alone than as a couple, so I’ll go with Hayden and Rachel.

renee’s personal star was sorta faded before she took up with brad. zac and vanessa are too young for engagement to be an obvious next step, whereas renee and brad are old enough that even though they havent been together for eons, they could feasibly get engaged. but didn’t she get a mrriage anulled, citing “false pretenses”, reportedly because some country star (her then-husband) was gay? doesn’t seem like the type to then willingly put herself in that situation.

Hey BG, love you, love what you do! Just dropping an FYI here. First and foremost I’m not a big fan of Renee Zelweger at all (acting, bf choices, etc.), but I have never felt comfortable with the “squinty” jokes. Her “squinty” appearance comes from the fact that she is part Sami, a Northern European people that are kindof like our Native Americans here. They used to be called the Lapp people, but I’ve heard that’s not cool anymore. Anyway, “squinty” is a term that’s just as insulting for the Sami people as it would be for anyone of, say, Asain descent. It strikes me as a slur, and thus not cool. Much love. I’m from Finland, home of many Sami people. They do not have “squinty” eyes, they look pretty much the same as any other Finns. So calling Renee squinty is not a racial slur in any way, just a bad joke about her appearance!
And calling someone “Lapp People” (lappalainen in Finnish) is not derogatory either, it’s just a reference to where the person is from. C’mon people, don’t be so quick to trust Wikipedia…

The “past, present, future” clue made me think it was someone associated with A Christmas Carol, either the most recent incarnation, or an earlier one. However, after minutes of exhaustive research, I have been unable to come up with anyone who would fit this except possibly Jennifer Love Hewitt (who was in a made for TV version of A Christmas Carol with Kelsey Grammar a few years ago), who got “engaged” to Jamie Kennedy this Fall but at the time had not yet received a ring (according to news reports). However, I’m not sure the other parts fit. Don’t know that the relationship is really bringing her that much publicity. So . . . never mind, but I still think that clue is significant.

I’d guess the majority of men who pursue a professional acting career (not a hobby, but a real career) are gay. Let’s face it, these men are the same gay theater geeks we all knew in high school. I don’t really know any straight guys over the age of 8 who love to play pretend, ya know?
I think there’s a high percentage of gays to straights in the entertainment industry. But don’t over react. If even most of them came out it would look like an avalanche since I think there’s about 3 or 4 out of closet now. That leaves many, many hiding. But, I don’t think it’s the majority unless you count the crafts and not just actors. THAT would drive it up with make-up, scenery, dancers, singers, etc. What disturbs me is how many people think being gay is bad. Hiding what or who you are is bad, not being gay.
It’s not that they think it’s bad so much as the producers, directors, the tabloids, the majority of moviegoers, the religious right, the tinker, tailor, soldier and spy!

Wait. Didn’t Renee divorce – or get an annulment from – Kenny Chesney on the grounds that he was a fraud? It’s been speculated that he is gay (or something else she found out about after their quicky marriage) and basically misrepresented himself to her. So it’s not logical that she would hook-up with another closeted gay man AND accept his shadow-y lover. Zellweger has integrity and she’d never knowingly beard a gay husband, which throws question on the whole “Bradley is Gay” theory.
I recall a past blind about an actress / singer breakup: the singer didn’t give up his groupies and backstage action once he was married, and the actress saw that as an embarrassment or scandal waiting to happen. I figured it was Renee and Kenny Chesney. Anyone else recall that blind?

I think it’s Jim & Jenny. One tip-off was the tags on the post. It says ‘film, television’. If you read the wikipedia on Jenny she has done mainly TV. Jim is most famous for his movie roles (and yes, has done TV too). They started dating in 2005, as a pair they are more noteworthy than on their own, he definitely boosts her image, they seem almost ‘too perfect’ for each other, and both have said in interviews that they don’t need a piece of paper to prove their love. The blind says the ring will go to the boyfriend, not to her, so this makes sense, as he clearly doesn’t want to get married to Jenny. The part about the relationship affecting her income is a head-scratcher. We’d have to see what parts she has gotten since they started dating in 05. Also, his personal life has always seemed pretty under-the-radar. I never hear any gossip about him, which could explain the blind- if he IS gay he would work really hard to keep his personal life out of the press. My 2c!

I’m guessing Zac and Vanessa, they’ve been together for years now and are just old enough that the public wouldn’t freak out so much about them getting engaged. Plus, she’s been out of the spotlight a bit and would love something like this to put her back in it, I would think. It certainly would up her income. Brad and Renee have only been together a few months, she’s technically a much bigger star than he is (so she really doesn’t need him quite that much), and she annulled her marriage to gay Kenny on grounds of fraud, so it just doesn’t seem as likely. But hey, I could be wrong.
Renee also dated George Clooney – so thats Jim Carrey, George Clooney and now Cooper.
