BlindGossip – We know parents can be protective of their kids, but this television actress really crossed the line. Her child had complained that they had been verbally bullied by some of the other students in their class. So, during a recent parent/ teacher conference, Mom confronted the child’s teacher about the bullying. Their discussion rapidly deteriorated into a shouting match, with the actress standing over the teacher and jabbing her finger at the teacher’s face. She accused the teacher of encouraging the other children to pick on her child because the teacher was jealous of the actress. The flustered teacher then had to explain that she did not even know that the actress still had a television show on the air. This totally caught the actress off guard. She wound up mumbling an apology and slinking out the door a few minutes later.

Was going to say Anne Heche but her kid was born in 2007. What about Calista Flockhart? I’m sure there are people who have never heard of Brothers & Sisters and only think of Ally McBeal when they think of her.

No Courtney Cox. She has always had a low-key approach to her fame even in the Friends heyday. Doesn’t seem the type to pull the fame card.
her kid and my kid were in a class together and her husband was super nice but she was pretty snooty and definitely pulled the celebrity card out when it came to special seating and being able to do things other parents weren’t allowed to do. The nanny was atrociously rude and obnoxious.
Definitely not Edie Falco, she’s much too low-key to behave like this.

Absolutely! Heaton is unbelievably arrogant and she’s been off a series long enough for people to forget about her and the new one is under the radar enough for people WANT to forget about her.
Her youngest is 10 which is just the right age for bullying and teacher conferences, btw. She’s barely
C-list and just the kind of person who would pull the indignant proverbial “don’t you KNOW who I am???”

Anne Heche’s first son was actually born in 2002, so she’s not out of the question. However, I’m having a hard time with the clues. The pic suggests that this is a young child — only very young schoolchildren would make drawings like that, so Julia Louis-Dreyfus and Patricia Heaton can probably be ruled out. As for written clues, I think these are the probable ones: “crossed the line”, “rapidly deteriorated”, “jabbing her finger at…face”, “caught…off guard”, and possibly “mumbling an apology”. Of course, another clue is that this actress currently has a show on TV, so that rules out Pam Anderson. I barely watch TV these days, so I can’t put it all together, but I’m offering this up to someone who can.

Edie Falco played a prison guard on Oz. And bullying, shouting match, getting in the teacher’s face, and standing over her sounds like The Sopranos. She also got into a heated argument with one of her kid’s teachers on Nurse Jackie.

Reading her bio on Wikipedia (I know, I know, not the holy grail of info but still) makes me think she’s too level headed to pull this. She survived breast cancer but kept it secret for a year, she doesn’t drink or party anymore. I don’t see it.
If it is Edie Falco, she is only protecting her kid. Perhaps the teacher only knew Falco from The Sopranos and didn’t know about Nurse Jackie.
Just posted above it’s not her. She’s seen in my neighborhood a lot and she’s very down to earth. Can’t see her ever accusing someone of being jealous of her.

I agree with this. If my child were getting bullied, I would stop at nothing to resolve it although I admit yelling at a teacher won’t help but I understand where her emotion was coming from. I just hate that she used the “do you know who I am” card. Hate that!!
Uh, Im all for protecting the kid but when any celebrity uses their “fame” or some bullshit like she did saying she was jealous of her….then someone should bring her back down to earth.

Sorry, I’ve been to my share of P-T conferences and whoever this is, she’s a nightmare. Berating a teacher is inappropriate, and she sounds a little self-involved, to put it nicely.
You guys got to remember: that picture was used for another BI a few months ago. Sometimes the pictures on here have no clues in them whatsoever, if you look at some of the “solved” BIs.

I respond to earlier comments. That is NOT being a responsible mom. As a teacher, we sometimes have to tell parents things that aren’t popular with parents but the truth. If every mother responded this way I’d refuse to do conferences. We are doing our job and don’t deserve abuse. Now-I’m new here-when do you find out the answer?

The mother did the right thing to try to get to the bottom of what happened; just like any protective mother.
Sound like the teacher knew more than she let on. At any rate it takes two to have a shouting match. She, the teacher is a public servant. She should not have let herself be part of it, and she should have spoken softly. Sometimes a whisper is louder than a scream!
I give the actress credit for apoloqizing, and lost a little respect for the teacher for not accepting the apology and admitting her part in the two-party scream fest!
