BlindGossip – This actor is part of a newish ensemble television drama. Frankly, we can’t believe anyone would want to hire him after he walked around bad mouthing another show from which he was fired. Yes, he was fired. Don’t believe anything you might read about how his character was simply written off the show. The truth is that not a single person on the set liked working with the guy. However, since he is such a litigious jerk (he has his attorney on speed dial), the producers knew that if they fired him outright there would be trouble. So they simply reduced his part from episode to episode.
His new show is not faring well either, and will likely crash and burn this season. At least that lucky cast won’t have to deal with him much longer. PS: Dude, the next time you send us a C&D, we will definitely post it in this space.

Caruso was unemployed for several years after leaving NYPD Blue for making movies that tanked—he learned his lesson, and word is, he’s pretty mellow now.

i think of the same. he left nypd thinking another show would land him as the huge star. and it tanked. (id have to look it up to find the name of that show) anyways sadly i dont know if its him. is he shown less on csi? i love law & order and csi’s. but csi miami is no where in my likeness and im not sure why.

FlashForward is getting decent ratings though (for a sci-fi-based show) and was just confirmed to be picked up for a full season. I took the wording to mean that the show will crash and burn this season… not our egomaniacal actor.

Yeah, it had a ridiculously good debut and has dropped since then. But it’s still the first or second highest rated new show every week even if it isn’t winning number the number 1 spot. It’s also a sci-fi show, so it was going to have a limited audience potential to start with.
I sometimes don’t understand why more people don’t watch sci-fi shows cuz there are some really good ones out there but then again I get a lot of crap for watching the shows I do lol oh well

True. Although the “crash and burn” comment reminded me of the future plot line to have a plane crash on Wisteria Lane. His previous show would have been Sex and the City.
My first thought was Rob Lowe with the other show being West Wing. Maybe there are more clues in the blind that we still have to discover!

Wild guess? Dominic Monaghan … previously on ‘Lost’, this season on ‘FlashForward.’ FF certainly fits the “likely crash and burn” part of the equation.
I think Ian Somerhalder for the same reason. He’s on Vampire Diaries which looks far shakier than FF, which just got picked up for a full season.

It can’t be Dominic…FlashForward has only had a few episodes so far and he has not been in any of them yet…the blind says that his part has been reduced from episode to episode. Also, his character died on Lost, but he still came back as a vision to another character & supposedly is coming back again (as past dead main characters) for the last season. I would say someone from the new Melrose?

I don’t think either of these two fit simply because when their characters were killed off, their parts weren’t reduced in the previous episodes.

Private Practice is doing very well in ratings and Tim Daly was never fired from any show. He has a reputation of being very professional about his job.

I agreed with this at first, BUT I used to watch The Practice all the time, and this isn’t how he got written off. The show had major budget cuts and got rid of almost all of the main characters abruptly at the end of one of the seasons. That’s when they brought James Spader on. It really wasn’t gradual and it wasn’t just him.
What about someone from the show Crash (based on the movie)? I haven’t watched the show, but it’s newish (started in 2008) and has some low key actors that might be bigger in their own heads than in reality.

I’m going to go with Elya Fodell from Defyng Gravity. The show has at least a couple of more episodes to air, then it’s going to be on the chopping block. He was on Y&R before, but I don’t know why he left (I don’t follow soaps). And he is almost definitely the one that C&D blind was about back in August. BG confirmed that the show was Defying Gravity and seemed to indicate that it wasn’t Ron Livingston, which left Elya.

And there is a website where someone described working on the set of Castle and how he was regrettably an A1 *. She said she could hardly believe it until she had a firsthand experience. She said he treated the crew like * and even interrupted her and the director constantly. She said her love for him is now outweighed by his total *.

I agree with Eyal Podell (Defying Gravity). He was very slowly written of out Y&R, taken off contract at the end of his cycle, and then placed on “recurring” status…after that he was never heard from again.
