[Blind Gossip] When young stars get into trouble, we frequently hear people say that their team should have done more to help them.
Well, in the case of this young male singer, his team definitely tried. And failed.
Another one of their artists, [Redacted], had OD’d. It was horrific. They were so distraught over it, they said it would “never happen again on our watch” with another one of their artists.
So when The Singer’s drug habit spiraled out of control, one manager went above and beyond trying to help him.
She went through months of agony with him! She tried everything: arranging counseling, setting up interventions, literally taking him to rehab. He refused every bit of help, every time. What more was she supposed to do? He’s not her son, he’s her client, and he was so f*cked up mentally and physically that he didn’t even want to show up for work.
He was not her only client, either, and his addiction was pulling down the entire company.
They rep at least a dozen acts, and they were spending 90% of their time dealing with him and his bulls*t. To what end? He’s an addict who won’t get help and who is going to die. She had other people to think about and she had to walk away to save the company (and her sanity). Know that it was not easy for her to let him go. In fact, she was in tears over it! I will go ballistic if people try to blame her when he OD’s.

Clearly Zayn Malik and his manager, Sarah Stennett.
Zayn does have a mother – and several adult sisters – who are frequently pictured traveling with him, so who knows where they are in this whole addiction scenario.
It’s been pretty funny over the past few days to watch the ZSquad, Zayn’s hysterical fan base, attack Stennett, as well as hitting out against anyone who suggests Zayn has a drug problem. Their new tactic is accusing people of being racist against Zayn.

Sarah Stennett is really smearing Zayn on her way out. While I doubt he is the purest client in the world this all sounds like a PR scenario to ruin someone

Caring about an addict is slow drip water torture. You can support to the ends of the earth. Only when the addict wants help will it matter. As I learned during Family Week at Hazelden, you can’t sacrifice yourself to save an addict. “Letting go with love” is the best choice, despite the pain it causes us loved ones.

IMHO, I think he is the type of person who craves attention and wants his loved ones to beg him to turn his life around before it’s too late! It’s a play on his ego and the more concerned they are about him the more it feeds his ego! Unfortunately, the gratification of his ego comes too late , ergo: he dies! Just say’en.
