SOLVED!
[Blind Gossip] One of the stars of a very successful film franchise has a child who may be in trouble.
At the recent celebration of their new film’s opening, the actor’s cast mates were lavishing lots of attention and love on his young daughter. That’s great. However, what they don’t know is that after the celebration and the parties were over… the teen went back to an empty house.
Her father wasn’t there, and her mother – who is drinking again – took off to Hawaii for a vacation without the child.
While the house is in a safe neighborhood and the teen has money for food, we’re not sure that her being left alone falls within the established custody guidelines. We suspect that the dad’s extended family and friends would be furious if they knew that the child was essentially fending for herself for prolonged periods of time.
While some parents think it is fine for teens to be home by themselves for the day, we are talking about several days here. Would you leave your teen home alone for a week?
BG Correction: We originally said that the parents were divorced. They were never actually married.

Paul Walker died in a car crash in November 2013, leaving behind a teenage daughter named Meadow. Prior to his passing, Meadow Walker had been living with Paul in California because Meadow’s mother, Rebecca Soteros, is an alcoholic.
After Paul died, Paul’s mother (Cheryl Walker) and Soteros battled for custody of Meadow. Meadow initially lived with Cheryl Walker, but moved in with Soteros earlier this year. Soteros was supposedly sober at that time.
Shortly after, we heard from some people close to the family that Soteros had fallen off the wagon again and had taken off to Hawaii for a vacation… without Meadow. She left Meadow at the house, by herself, for over a week during the Easter holiday.
Meadow Walker was 16 years old at the time. We tried to find out if there were any adults there (e.g. another relative, a nanny) to feed her, make sure that she went to school, etc. When we were unable to find anyone in charge, we immediately contacted Meadow’s attorney to appraise him of the situation and to ask him to do a wellness check on Meadow.
We trust that he did follow up and has taken appropriate measures to contact Meadow’s family to ensure her safety.
Meadow Walker was recently in the news again because she has filed a giant lawsuit against Porsche, holding them responsible for her father’s accident. From CNN:
Paul Walker’s daughter has filed a wrongful death lawsuit against Porsche, claiming the sports car he was riding in had multiple design flaws.
The suit, filed Monday on behalf of 16-year-old Meadow Rain Walker, seeks unspecified damages for defects it alleges contributed to her father’s death.
“The bottom line is that the Porsche Carrera GT is a dangerous car. It doesn’t belong on the street,” Walker’s attorney, Jeff Milam, said in a statement. “And we shouldn’t be without Paul Walker or his friend, Roger Rodas.”
Porsche is countering that they are not responsible for accident.
We believe the authorities’ reports in this case clearly established that this tragic crash resulted from reckless driving and excessive speed.
