[Blind Gossip] Reboots and revivals are all the rage on TV right now!

This hit TV show from the 1990s got a new launch with a new cast, but some of the old cast members have decided that they want to do a reboot of their own. There are two female stars from the original show who are taking the lead on this reboot.

There’s a problem with this particular duo, though.

We call them Messie and Messier. Between the drugs and the bad marriages and the money problems, these two are screwed up enough for a dozen people. Their fans might have some nostalgia for this show, but this thing has disaster written all over it.

We’ve talked about each of these actresses and their messy lives before, so it will be interesting to see if someone can school them on how to hold it together long enough to get this project off the ground. Both of them could certainly use those paychecks!

    • Shannen is already doing that Heathers reboot and also battling cancer. I like the 90210 guess though. If so, def Tori and Jennie (clue being “Messie” spelled with ie)

  9. “Charmed”. Holly Marie Combs has been having a Twitter meltdown about the upcoming reboot. I’m sure Rose McGowan would join Holly. I think Alyssa is good on her own right now.

  10. This has to be the 90210 reboot that Jennie Garth & Tori Spelling are pushing for and um…no – highly doubt that these two trainwrecks have any kind of appeal/clout to get this off the ground.

    • Agreed. Never thought Jennie Garth would be such a crazy druggie. Aries seem to be the best at hiding their dark/bad secret selves (another famous example: Reese Witherspoon’s heavy drinking). Tori’s turnout is not so surprising though. I always feel so badly for all of their poor children… I hope they don’t have more!!

  13. The only one I know of that is a reboot with a new cast is “Dynasty”.

    So, Heather Locklear and Joan Collins?? Although Joan is probably way too old at this point.
    Heather could use the work so maybe it’s her and Catherine Oxenberg (who has a daughter in trouble right now)??

    • AHS is wooing Joan for an appearance. Not sure if one off guest spot or recurring in the new “future” set season?

  20. Shannon Doherty and Tory Spelling, 90210.
    Clues-the blond and brunette in the picture and “see if someone can school them…” And their lives certainly have been messy.
    I don’t think the show will get its own reboot. People who watched in the 1990s have moved on with their lives, shouldn’t these actors move on also? Does anyone care what Brenda and Brandon are up to now?

  32. Was going to guess Shannon Doherty in HEATHERS but I don’t see anywhere original cast members (other ones) are coming back unless it is a surprise. Winona Ryder has had issues in the past but is doing well on STRANGER THINGS I thought.

    Actresses: Tori Spelling and Jennie Garth.

    I think they’ll get picked up for one season just to see if it does garner any interest, and then it will probably crash and burn because it won’t. I think they tried their own show on ABC Family, what was it called? Mystery Girls? That got canceled quickly. I predict the same for this.

  45. Is this Jennie Garth and Tori Spelling – 90210 reboot spinoff?
    Will it get off the air? Yes as the reboot revival is all the craze.

    If the question was “which show would you like to see Rebooted?”, I would say Joan of Arcadia. But it would have to start from season 3. That ending at season 2 was too interesting to let go.
