[Blind Gossip] This dual-celebrity couple was at the Grammys. While they are both musical, he has been nominated/won multiple times while she has come up empty.
This is a problem for her.
She loves singing, and she is disappointed that she doesn’t have a bigger music career. She is with him because he can help get her towards her goal. She would like to star in a big movie musical, but there isn’t anything for her right now, so he is helping her land a musical on Broadway. She says that will happen this year.

Congratulations to Katharine McPhee, who just landed the starring role in a Broadway musical!
We told you last month that she was going to be heading to Broadway this year… and now she’s doing it! McPhee’s Broadway debut will be in the musical Waitress.
Katharine McPhee Will Make Her Broadway Debut in Waitress
Katharine McPhee, who played a Broadway hopeful turned star in the NBC series Smash, will get her chance at the real Great White Way this year. The actor and recording artist will make her Broadway debut as Jenna in Waitress beginning April 10.
The American Idol star succeeds the show’s composer Sara Bareilles in the title role. She’ll play a limited engagement at the Brooks Atkinson Theatre through June 17.
While Waitress will mark McPhee’s Broadway debut, she does have a history with musical theatre. McPhee attended Boston Conservatory for three semesters and starred in an L.A. production of Annie Get Your Gun before auditioning for the fifth season of American Idol, ultimately placing as the runner-up.
On Smash, McPhee played Karen Cartwright, an aspiring actor from Iowa in contention for the role of Marilyn Monroe in the fictional musical Bombshell. In the second season of the NBC series, Karen starred in the experimental musical Hit List, subsequently earning a Tony nomination. (As a replacement, McPhee will not be considered eligible for the real-life Tonys.) McPhee performed a handful of songs from Bombshell in a one-night-only concert at Broadway’s Minskoff Theatre in 2015.
McPhee currently stars in the CBS series Scorpion, now in its fourth season.
McPhee, 33, has been dating the legendary music producer David Foster, 68, since last year. Foster divorced his fourth wife, Yolanda Hadid Foster of Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, last year.
David Foster has won 16 Grammy Awards, including three Grammy Awards for Producer of the Year, and has been nominated a total of 47 times. Wow!
Did you catch the “smash” hit clue? McPhee was the lead in the TV show Smash.
